Simple. *Bang*
What's morally questionable about that?

How are you supposed to savor the experience anyway? I'm just confused.
The joy in hunting is providing a good meal for you, your friends, your family, or maybe that guy who hasn't been able to eat for the past week. Donating a kill to Feed the Hungry was the part I savored about hunting, not killing it.
However, it is possible to "savor" the experience of group hunts with friends, especially going after groups of animals like hogs in coyotes. The joy is in gunning as many of those fuckers down as you can in one night.

Fuck that. I want that fucker to fold like a cheap lawn chair. The longer you let an animal linger in pain the more adrenaline is being pumped into the meat, making it tough.

I can understand taking joy in succeeding at a difficult hunt. That’s completely normal and understandable. But savoring the pain of a dying creature? That’s just monstrous.
