He does, however, have a warmer side, which he tends to exhibit while working as a judge, even though he's still the same money-hungry man. It largely seems to be a front, but there is a little bit more to it than that. Despite his wealth, he does not live in particular luxury--he refrains from spending in a manner that he considers frivolous, choosing instead to hoard his fortune.

As an extremely wealthy and powerful man, he is able to keep his underhanded dealings and more sinful activities covered up, while always gaining more money. His past before the war is somewhat mysterious, as he never shared his personal life with the public, but the evidence of corruption goes back for a very long time, almost since he first became a judge. Although many people believe him to be corrupt, he's not worried about it at all. Instead, his sole focus is on accumulating more and more wealth. What he plans to do with it, if he even has plans for it at all, is as yet uncertain.
