I think they’re doing one major per country pack, so if the next one gives focuses for Italy, Siam, Indonesia, etc. then the one after that (I can only assume that would be South America) would work on the USSR focus

If they do one for USSR, I’ll bet it allows you to play as the White Army and restart the civil war, in that case, there better be a path to go full von Sternberg and recreate the Mongol Empire

The only options I want for Russia is the choice of who's head to plunge a icepick into. Anything else deserves a long winter in Siberia.

The only options I want for Russia is the choice of who's head to plunge a icepick into. Anything else deserves a long winter in Siberia.

If the rumours are true and its Italy that gets expanded in the next country pack, it would be disappointing since at least you can have a somewhat fun Italy game right now. With the USSR it’s basically just "how many divisions can you train before Germany attacks"

And maybe throw in another Communist/Socialist path too. I dont think the USSR should have a fascist tree, the same way Germany doesnt have a communist one. The Great purge should be part of the Stalinist tree or its own full fledged tree and there should be a really substantial Industry tree too.

Germany is apparently going to be considered for a communist tree when they go rework the USSR. Or at least that's what I remember from some comments on the DD.

Still not sure if i'm Hoi4ing correctly...

Templates:

Infantry:
7 Infantry, 2 Artillery. With Support: Artillery, Anti-Tank, Anti-Air, Rocket Artillery, Recon.
(14/4 as appropriate, Mechanize as appropriate, switching to motorized artillery).

Medium Tank Division:
10 Mech Infantry, 4 Motorized Artillery, 4 Medium Tanks. (Same support companies).

Heavy Tank Division:
As above, but heavy tanks.


Am I doing it right?
I get the feeling that maybe I should add more tanks to my tank divisions but have less of them maybe.

Currently I tend to go for 5 or 7 infantry armies, 5 tanks (4 med, 1 heavy).


Also... ARTILLERY! SUPERIOR FIREPOWER!

Occasionally i'll make a breaching division of super-heavy tanks and marines.
