Should’ve realized guns would never be taken away because they’re son ingrained into the history and culture of a rebellious settler nation.

What if a criminal is forcing his way into your home with the intention of raping and killing you? I would prefer having a gun than a sword (both are not a bad idea).

Half the people in the room have guns, the other half dont.
Which is why I'm happy to have a gun. The ideal situation is a room full of ten people where only I have a gun and rule as their overlord, presenting the sandwich as something for them to aspire to earn when in reality it is all for me.

If we are locked in this room, a sandwich will not increase our life expectancy very much. I would want to use the gun to shoot myself when starvation becomes too painful to endure.

Your option is dead on arrival. When Sandy Hook increased sales of guns, we should have realized taking guns away was never going to happen.

I don’t like the school shootings. I don’t like the gun crimes.
Guns need to be banned but America’s problematic democratic/presidential structure prevents any meaningful action. Citizens will just lobby to keep their guns, even though gun violence continues to harm innocents every year. It is a flaw of the American system.

I figure between women, the infirm, the old, and the young there's a solid chance that I'm tougher than many or even most people in the second room and therefore able to control them. That's the shitty thing about guns, they introduce a level of equality into situations where the strong could otherwise rule the weak.
I view that as a danger, I mean if the strongest person in the room decides to take the sandwich, fine, I can survive 3 days without eating.. but in a room where everyone's equal the opportunity for dispute is raised with deadly consequences.

Most doors aren’t really that sturdy, particularly interior doors that are typically hollow since insulation is not an issue and it makes it lighter, cheaper, and easier to operate.
Unless you have a panic room, a locked door is basically a test of the attacker’s willingness more than a defense.

If you have two people who know how to fight, you can share the sandwich. Three days is not long enough to starve. Destroy the sandwich. Most people can survive between 8 and 21 days without food and water. Enjoy a short fast.
A really dangerous man will not worry about whether they have a gun or not. A gun is an extension of your fist.

Maybe invest in a better door than a gun then
