Food for thought on the minimum wage issue.

Do you need to have a university degree to work at McDonald's in Denmark? That is a ridiculously high wage for a fast food worker. What does a starting highway patrolman make there? That salary is more than a highway patrolman gets paid in Florida:

Starting salary for a Florida rookie trooper is $33,977 — the lowest among the 49 states that have a state patrol. (Hawaii does not.)

That sounds like a reason to pay the Florida highway patrolmen better, not to pay fast food workers less.

If the minimum wage had been pegged to inflation it would be far higher than it is right now. Most other developed nations have rather high minimum wages compared to the US.

I was thinking if the highway patrolmen in Denmark make $23.50 an hour, it might be hard to officers as they would rather work at McDonald's and have less danger and stress. It must be hard to find people willing to join the army there as well. I doubt soldiers are making $25 an hour or more in Denmark. Do rival fast food companies in Denmark pay similar wages or much less? That can't be accurate and perhaps that is actually what McDonald's managers make and not entry level workers.

In a long podcast about South London police corruption this very point was made, whereby a policeman who committed suicide was found shot in the chest, and it was noted this was very rare hence suspicion it was murder given he was privy to information about said corruption. So it's not a baseless thought, and I'm sure it will be absolutely seized upon by conspiracy theorists who will say he was murdered by the DNC or some such.
