They're actually relatively accurate even if not as accurate as phone polls. Also, we both know certain party officials are to blame for Bernie's defeat.

Trump imposed travel restrictions to try to stop covid's spread to America, and his opponents not only blasted him for it, but encouraged people to ignore it until it was too late, all the while they were busy distracting everyone with impeachment.

But he's still somehow the bad guy? And it sounds like you're upset by him not stomping all over peoples' freedoms? What the hell? All this time, rage mobs associated with the left have been allowed to gather freely even in areas that are under lockdown, but you still seem to believe the politicians that want us all locked in our houses with our places of employment shut down indefinitely, are actually worried about the spread of covid and looking out for our best interests? Even as they're continuously caught breaking their own rules?Cordel One wrote:After sending his people to pressure foreign countries into getting dirt on his opponents, colluding with Russia, loyalty-testing his colleagues, and screaming for months about how the election was rigged to the point hat he incited a riot that took the capitol I think it's pretty safe to make that assumption.
Right, because Trump's opponents haven't been smearing him with Russian disinformation, using voting machines from a foreign company that produced massive irregularities/errors for easy fraud, labeling everyone who isn't hardline on their side a nazi/fascist/etc, encouraging mass social division and continuous riots across the country, or spending the last four years accusing Trump of being an illegitimate leader who cheated. Before turning around and saying this election was the "most secure ever," and calling any opposition to the claim dangerous conspiracy theorist treason.Page wrote:I don't think we are going to get anywhere until we realize that there is no meaningful difference between letting a sick person die of a treatable illness and shooting them in the head.
Cuomo had covid patients put back into nursing homes, directly infecting and killing many of our most vulnerable, and people are trying to give him an Emmy for his TV appearances. And as I already said above, many democrat leaders have been encouraging massive crowds of protestors in major cities, outright super spreader events, supposedly to fight for civil rights... while freedom of assembly in any other context is banned, among other massive blatant civil rights violations under the guise of stopping the spread of covid. But, again, the orange man is bad, right?

Just a bunch of badly-dressed 1776 QAnon LARPers as some have suggested. Trump is more of a run-of-the-mill, wannabe corrupt dictator devoid of ideology than any kind of actual fascist or communist demagogue unlike Hitler or Stalin. He's a narcissistic demagogue, but he's no fascist.
He has far more in common with Najib Razak, our beloved former Prime Minister of Malaysia who we miraculously voted out of office along with the corrupt, racist, ruling party of over 60 years due to record-high voter turnout in the face of actual, widespread, systematic election fraud and gerrymandering and a slew of newly-passed, draconian laws specifically designed to quash political dissent and silence any discussion of the 1MDB corruption scandal he was implicated in.
I'm still right about one thing. American democracy continues to endure despite the coup attempt. May American exceptionalism prevail for the next 10,000 years.
I ask again what exactly do you like about trump. You claimed he is now nothing but a whiner, but all he has been doing during his presidency is whine. Hell he was whining when he won the election, let alone when he lost this one.

I appreciate that the haze has left you and I'm a firm believer that the only path to having a functional country is to recognize the humanity of the opposition and find common ground for dialogue. I further believe that the democrats choice to delineate between themselves and the opposition rather than try to make peace has resulted in a political environment so hostile that in 2015 I would have told you was just not possible. That said, what the actual fuck are you talking about?
Now that the scales have fallen from your eyes are you not seeing this shit? He glazed over violence and death perpetrated by his most rabid supporters and shifted focus away from them wherever he could. This did not happen over night. His first campaign was characterzied by courting the unhinged and using disinformation to drive people to irrational and dangerous conclusions and the progressive decay of that has been neither sudden nor unexpected. People have been calling this shit since Covfefe, it's 1984 shit- once you start trying to convince people that you have the power to dictate the truth and their perceptions and the perceptions of others are not up to the task nothing good is about to happen. It's been fucked up dictators shit since day one and the very fucking moment he started bad-mouthing mail in ballots it was manifestly obvious he was orchestrating a conspiracy. He primed these people, he refused to denounce violent militia groups and told the Proud Boys to "stand by" to police the election.
He wanted to make sure the balance of in-person voters benefitted him and then cast aspersions on the process with his fucking black shirts ready to tear shit up if it didn't go his way. That was the only reason he did this. The only reason to believe it was because you supported him more than you supported understanding the world.
You want to puke up the kool-aid? Cool, more power to you I hope everything in your life is perfect. But understand that this is your fault. You get to spread that blame around to a lot of other people but this is your fault.
I don't think Trump is intelligent enough to pull off the kind of shit you've been accusing him of. Also, hindsight is 20/20, especially now that 2020 is over. I did not see Trump supporters rioting when AP and Fox News called the election for Joe Biden back in November. I did not see Trump supporters burning down countless small businesses and setting entire parking lots on fire. I did not see any rioting and looting on the Right throughout the whole of last year. Almost all of the violence, insurrection, sedition, and political intimidation came from the Left, not the Right. That is why I supported Trump pre-Nov. 3 and I have no regrets about having done so back then if only to make a point about the violence and intolerance of the Left.
Donald Trump was a panacea to the political cowardice and political correctness of the Left. He was awesome before he self-destructed, and he did and said a lot of right things such as adopting a hardline immigration policy, triggering radical feminists by nominating Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, banning the teaching of critical race theory in public institutions, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel, moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and presiding over multiple peace deals between Israel and Arab states, some of which were agreed after Nov. 3, funneling arms to Taiwan, and sanctioning HK and Chinese officials. He drew a red line in Syria and he enforced it when he ordered limited airstrikes against the Assad regime while his weak, cowardly predecessor from Hawai'i paid lip service to the ideals of freedom and democracy but allowed Putin and Assad to push him around for years. He did the same with Iran when he ordered the assassination of Qasem Soleimani. He pulled the United States out of the WHO, UNESCO, UNRWA, and the UNHRC, and he has defunded these corrupt orgs. He has rightly told the UN and international law to go fuck themselves. This is what strong and decisive leadership looks like. His Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been very consistent and tough against China. Nikki Haley was also an exemplary ambassador under the Trump Administration, particularly in her support for Israel and denunciation of Palestinian Islamist terror. Donald Trump's foreign policy remains the best of any recent U.S. leader since FDR.
You can blame me all you want, but the fact remains that you were prejudging Trump and his supporters before they turned violent and turning a blind eye to your own side's intolerance, hatred, and violence, and hindsight is always 20/20. Antifa and BLM were as much a part of the hatred and division as Trump was, if not far more so. I did not hear Democrats unequivocally and wholeheartedly denounce mob violence until now. If I'm to blame for how fucked up your country has become, then so are you.
