Like I said with WI earlier in the morning (last night?) I'm cautiously optimistic that Biden's lead expands from here on.

Alright, my predictions for what happens if one of the candidates wins.

If Biden Wins
-The nation is first ravaged by democratic protests happening after today due to it looking like Trump won, then by republican ones after it turns out Biden won. His popularity falls to the high 40's.
-Biden serves one full term, and does not run in the 2024 Primaries. An establishment democrat is elected, possibly Warren or someone like her.
-Trump retires, but Trumpism remains. He likely does not run in 2024, and Ted Cruz or Pence become nominee.
-Warren wins in 2024.
If Trump Wins
-The nation is ravaged by democratic protests. Trumps approval rating somewhat climbs to the high 40's.
-He serves another term.
-Pence runs in 2024
-The electoral college is abolished in 2023.
-The Democrats decide the moderate wing failed them and actually embrace the policies of the radical left. Bernie is to old, so AOC is likely nominated.
-AOC wins in 2024.

How is Warren an establishment Dem?

Though the she doesn't sound like a bad pick either had a lot of interesting ideas but needs more enthusiasm, probably coming from a good vp pick.

Okay my money is on a very narrow Biden win. Shocked things were this closed but honestly I am just relived that we might not have to deal with Trump for the next 4 years.

Nah, it's really pretty straightforward. 'Assault weapons' have always been nebulous af and spooky scary strawmen. You just have to inflate the strawman a bit and muddle the definition further, to things like 'assault pistols', and voila.

I mean, "assault weapons" are the only guns anyone has really bought in any worthwhile numbers since the AWB expired. Shit a lot of more basic things have to be custom manufactured now because the lines don't exist for bulk production anymore.
