Its not that they asked for his ID that is the problem here, its that they used such excessive force when the dude did nothing but question why they were asking.

So a Tik Tok has come out showing police forcefully dragging a man out of his car and arresting him for practically fucking nothing. The man's name is Antoine and this occurred after a traffic stop when the mans girlfriend Heather Janney was apparently going 45 in a 30. Antoine was the passenger in the car yet the police still asked to see his ID. When Antoine questioned why the police basically began dragging out of his car. Antoine is heard asking for the police to back off to let him get out on his own and kissing his wife.
Police stated they arrested because he apparently has 2 outstanding warrants and was "resisting arrest." They have not clarified why the asked for his ID.
I have seen the video and the resisting arrest claim is complete bollocks. The dude was unarmed, not acting aggressive, and only started struggling when the cops grabbed him. The dude was barely even fighting back and was literally asking for them to back off so he could get out on his own. There was no reason to drag him out like that. Janney has stated they are lawyering up and I totally support that.
This is another clear major overstep by police who totally mishandled a pretty minor situation by unnecessarily escalating it like that. I think its pretty clear we need better training standards for police officers because there is no reason why "trained professionals" should be acting like that.

well it wouldn't have happened had he just simply pulled out his ID. Why does everyone need to disobey the police if they say let me see your ID just do it because your not doing yourself or anyone any favors by resisting which he was by say no and telling the officers there's no need to investigate him. it's not over reach in this instance plus why is this on TMZ of all places now this sounds more like a grab for fame and money from a potential suit then actual police over reach.

TMZ was the first source I found and they showed the video which was honestly good enough for me. And fuck off with that "oh he should have just obeyed." He did nothing but ask why they were asking for his ID. That does not warrant dragging a man out of his car like that.

He was not fucking resisting. He was asking a question. He presented no actual threat to the cops. They had no right to attack him because he was being a little stubborn.

so says you and if you lets say don't step out when a cop ask you to and you keep refusing geuss what they are going to pull you out regardless of what you did or didn't do. like the previous poster stated all he needed to do was just pull out his wallet and show ID why is that such a hard concept for you to grasp?

Being a little stubborn does not warrant police aggressively manhandling you. Do you really not see an issue with police resorting to violence because someone is a kinda stubborn?

why is the guy being stubborn and refusing to show ID I mean after all if he just showed it then there would not have been a need to drag him out so I dont know why you still think he's as innocent as you lead on.

His innocence is irrelevant. The fact still remains the police restored to violence when confronted with some minor stubbornness. Thats concerning. Police should not be getting violent against people who are not posing an actual threat.

Its quite interesting that your choosing to focus a citizen being stubborn instead of members of law enforcement resorting to violence when someone is not posing a threat to them. Its almost like your trying to deflect from the fact that there is a disturbing trend of police being far too quick to resort to violence and force.

well the same can be said of you who is not thinking about the fact that if the passenger just should the officer his ID then he wouldn't have needed to be dragged out after resisting multiply requests.
