I'm Syara, a member of the region known as Tyran.

After some map edits and discussion over the changes that we have gone through over the past few years, Tyran is looking for new players to join with us. We have an active Discord that can be found in our regional page; we encourage you to stop by and ask us if you have any questions or want to chat about our application.

Tyran is a modern, human-only, modern tech closed region with a heavy emphasis on world-building. Most of our users have active IIwiki accounts, but we also enjoy a good role play and narrative. We encourage an active community and an interwoven world where our economies, politics, and histories are interconnected and play off one another.

Brief Description of Nation (culture, society, politics, ect.):

Historically a collection of city-states of Continental Sabrian descent, Madrigal (historically known as the Silver Coast) was the eastern gateway between Cacerta and Lirinya and much of Eracura. It wasn't until the 1870s, inspired by the Sarissitite unification campaign in Cacerta, that the disparate republics and principalities united into the Federated Republic of Madrigal. Around the turn of the century, the Revolutionary Communist Party of Madrigal (PCRM) led a successful popular revolution inspired by the Váradist socialism of Ruvelka, creating the one-party Federated Communes of Madrigal. However, with the collapse of the Ruvelkan Socialist Republic less than a decade later, discourse soon proliferated within the party and a range of socialist ideologies gained traction in the country. By the early 1960s, economic decline led to political instability, causing popular unrest and a decentralization of formal political power. This turmoil allowed the radical Popular Váradist-Gallellist-Allozuist Accelerationist International (PIAVGA, or L'Accelerazione), characterized by esotericism, pseudoscience, and a cult of personality surrounding its founder, Giolzi Allozu, to come into power in an upset election victory. This set Madrigal on a new ideological paradigm revolving around futurology, accelerationism, and mythmaking, which would forge the country into the modern Vanguard Union.

In modern times, Madrigal is a council democracy featuring a unicameral legislature (the Cunvegnu), which elects an executive committee (the Uffiziurga) every 5 years. Although the republic is functionally pluralist and democratic, L'Accelerazione still holds disproportionate sway throughout its institutions and culture, and has led the majority of governments since its rise to power as the party of natural governance. An intense political and societal focus is put on the development of the nation's polytechnical, philosophical, and theoretical cadres, which, combined with the cryptic legacy of Allozu, means that institutions tend to be top-heavy with intelligentsia who can be either brilliant or obtuse. Initiatives born of this fixation tend to have mixed results, from the civic discussion and petitioning platform Voz, to a subsidy-hungry aeronautics and seasteading projects, to the pegging of the Madrigese currency (the braccia) to a measurement of national energy production.
