It's nice to have principled conservatives, as opposed to deranged power-tripping fascists and cringelords, but it'd be nice if principled conservatives (and principled liberals) could do more than virtue signal.
What I don't get is how any true believer in democracy can endorse the GOP at this point? I mean, Trump will do what Trump does, but for almost every one of the GOP seats to sit silent and idle in the face of a blatant call to disregard democracy is inexcusable. They're showing the country right now that the party doesn't care about democracy so long as they are reaping benefits from its demise. And I have a feeling I already know the answer to my question. It's that the number of Americans that still believe in democracy is at an all time low. And the majority thought now is "My side in power by any means" and that is truly terrifying for a country that's already displaying disturbing parallels with Germany circa 1920.
same could be said for the democrat party, they literally rigged their own election process TWICE(first when they bone Bernie during 2016, even going so far as to put up barriers at the convention to keep them out) then a second time when they destroyed all the candidates to force Biden into the running.
Sorry, I'm not voting for Biden who is going to raise my taxes and turn me into a felon for my AR-15.
