Some 40% of the population believes abortion should be flatly illegal in all or most cases. That's approximately 131,000,000 people. Needless to say yeah she'd be a hero in a lot of eyes.

Doubtful. Roe has majority support as does LGBT rights. It would be very dangerous for a court to so widely out of state with public opinion.

Probably not, but if he didn't save everybody they'd attack him for falling short or not responding effectively enough.
Come on, if you're going to criticize the Democrats, do it right. You're embarrassing the rest of us who criticize the Democrats.

That was harsh. I'll rephrase it. They would turn their backs and act like nothing happened.

How many people do you think are actually communists in this country? This isn't 1946, giving you the option for public insurance and raising taxes on an income bracket you'll probably never see isn't communism.

Quite a few people on the right are being propagandized into believing milquetoast social democracy is somehow the same as communism.

Awesome post all across the nation for both sides. I think many persons need to learn and respect, the right to think differently. This respect is not earned, it is given, and it exists, it is called Democracy in the USA and western style multi political party nations.
It does not mean we like and respect the person, it means we respect their rights to think differently than us, like Black African American Republicans supporters of President Trump, are not mentally ill persons, as a few posters on here have posted in the past they are mentally ill persons.
So far I have met and talked too, 12 black African American Republicans supporters of President Trump, of course I cant personally know the over 100,000 black African American Republican supporters of President Trump who are going to vote for Trump, I have met at the Trump rallies I have attended, which I am allowed to post about and share with my fellow nations on NS, and do so. We Republican supporters of President Trump on these related threads care, and have the right to do so.
I am now up to 2 lady Democrats in a car who gave me the finger, lol, and an old Cuban guy in the car who gave me the finger, lol, I just laughed to myself, I did not cuss them out like they did too me. I do take any personal and political insults as a form of honor and pride, and it increases my desire to see President Trump reelected as he deserves to be reelected , according to my Political views and my fellow Republicans supporters of President Trump.
I have no personal problems with Democrats and Democrat supporters posting about Democrat rallies for Biden, post them.
Just like Democrats and Democrat supporters of Biden, cant personally know the millions of black African Americans who are going to vote for Biden.

That doesn't really have anything to do with Lumen's point. Barrett overturning abortion rights would, rather obviously, make the anti-abortion crowd love her. He sarcastically stated it as if it's not true, which is absurd.

Well, only 46% of Americans identify as pro-choice, compared to 49% who identify as pro-life
You're right about the 60% in regards to 60% of Americans believe Roe v. Wade should not be overturned. Compared to 33% who want to see it overturned.
On abortion overall, we see a different breakdown:
39% - support it being legal in only a few circumstances
25% - support abortion being legal in all cases
21% - support it being illegal in all cases
13% - support it being legal in most cases
2% - no opinion
1% - support it being legal with restrictions (respondent didn't specify what level of restrictions)

not to the majority of the nation. To have a court so widely out of step with public opinion is a very bad thing and would make the court illegitimate to many.

If my calculations are correct, that adds up to 101%.
