The season seems to have taken a turn for the less dramatic as Laketown seems to have it all wrapped up as we head into the final stretch. A five point lead has now stretched to 17, and it seems all but wrapped up. The Rangers, led by Miles Snavely, seem destined to win their 7th title and seem to be doing it at a rather easy pace. Only four years since their last title there does not seem to be much of a problem for the team with 11 matches remaining. The real battle seems to be between the next 8 teams all within 5 points of the second Champions' Cup spot, and the 3 Globe Cup positions.
The bottom of the table also has an interesting battle. But as figured Knightspurs seems destined to be relegated after a less than stellar season on all levels. The more interesting thing is the battle for the relegation playoffs and second automatic relegation spot. Interestingly New Capetown continues to have rough seasons and the team could be the next of the 3 teams to never miss a single premier league seaosn to be relegated. Cedar Township once competing in the top five seems headed back towards the place where they were last season.

Moresville FC 3-2 Sleepy Hollow (6-3 agg)
Bayern-Algaer 1-1 Laketown Rangers (1-1 agg)
Laketown Rangers 2-1 Bayern-Algaer (3-2 agg)
The first matchup seemed a rather even one until Atlantea just completely dominated Ojian in the first matchup. Wilhelm Nkitilina was the big man in the first matchup getting two goals for the Hurricanes and pushing them to a level the relegation battling Ojian could not match. In the return leg the Atlantea Coliseum was full to the brim and the home side just continued to rather easily handle their opponents. In the end it was a strong double from Matt Martin that pushed the Hurricanes to an even higher level.
X Island's first leg win on the road gave them the upper hand in their battle with the Tintown Terrapins. A Wallace Kepler goal gave the home Terrapins a strong lead at half in leg one, but this was counteracted by the strong performance from Johnson Kent in which he scored a goal and assisted on another. In the return leg X Island proved able to continue their strong play with a lone goal from Porter Price.
The next matchup proved another one sided battle in a matchup of fairly even teams. Moresville continued a strong season in their return to the Premier League behind a hat-trick from Tyler Jacoby. For their part there was a strong performance from relegation fighting Sleepy Hollow on the road, but Kevin McMaster's brace wasn't enough to counter act a masterful performance from Moresville's Alvin Michaelson who scored and assisted twice.
The final matchup proved to be the most evenly matched with a strong home leg from Bayern-Algaer having them tied with runaway league leaders Laketown Rangers. Kelly Jamison and Miles Snavely scored for their respective sides, but Snavely would power the Rangers forward in leg two with a brace pushing his side back to the tournament semi-finals.
X Island Marauders 2-1 Moresville FC (2-1 agg)
Moresville FC 4-1 X Island Marauders (5-3 agg)
Laketown Rangers 1-0 Atlantea Hurricanes (1-0 agg)
Atlantea Hurricanes 1-2 Laketown Rangers (1-3 agg)
The first matchup was really even in the first leg with X Island winning at home and going to Moresville with a lot to play for, but sadly the seocnd leg proved more one-sided than either team would suspect. The X Island captain Alex Turniquette would earn a red card early on in the match and that proved deadly as the Moresville attack ran riot for the rest of the night. Sullivan Garrett scored his first goal in the tournament, and Moresville saw a brace from Michael Drew.
Laketown Rangers won their home leg behind talisman Miles Snavely's 68th minute goal in leg one. They proved more than enough on the road in Atlantea Coliseum quieting the home crowd early with a Kyle Smith goal. The Rangers would add another from Jane Applesby, and ultimately a lone Wilhelm Nkitilina goal gave the home side something to shout about, but they could not do anything to make it a competitive game.
This final marks the 10th entry into the Fadron Pizza Cup final, and it will be their 8th cup should they win. Moresville has reached their 7th final and should they win it will be their third trophy.
