Straudum's turnaround is most remarkable, losing a few players in the transfer market but getting excellent returns on their youth players anyway.
Schemerdrecht SVV's rise to the top fits into a multi-year plan that they've been on. Sure, there aren't many flashy players, they lack international experience, but the slow and progressive build seems to be paying off anyway.
Maynard AFC has left the cellar for third place: their transfer market activity, home-grown players (with huge contracts, otherwise they'd leave for greener pastures), and huge budget is doing things.
Aminey CS are close behind - with the largest budget in the league, their gradual decline was a reason for near-riots in the city. Despite years of going into the top six for the final few matchdays,
Bruncester United AFC and
Branvσn CD complete the top six for now, but it's too close to call. Notably, eastern delights
Advance Alara and
Katashi-Kanatsu are in the bottom 6 for the time being - their attacking play style has revolutionised the Top League for the last two seasons. Did the defensive teams finally figure them out, or are we in for a surprise in the next 12 weeks?

Couziers-Olympiques have retained their playerbase,
Strongfair came racing up from the third division straight to unexplored heights in the second division,
Castelo e Calvente CS capitalise on their huge amount of local heroes - in some cases donated by Branvon and Miradela - followed by Arboren, and
Huthwich & Iduloren FC. High expectations on
WSR AFC and
Teragaseki go nowhere - and are in danger of relegation.

Katashi Wasps (Suzumebachi Stadium (25000) in Katashi, Yoshima)
Aminey Buffaloes. Yes, the league was that close, and it probably will be again. With wage budgets not increasing for the second running year, good players stay on their current contracts, with little incentive to shop around at other clubs: there isn't a lot more money to be made in other places. The Wasps have never been in the top 3 (AKA making the playoffs), but they might be changing that this year. Players to watch include SR Nolivisa Kawashima (23) and W Xeronimo Agar (23) as absolute authorities at their respective positions, as well as W Anibal Coello (18), the duo of backs set up by 58 Xaquin Ferreiro (24).

Katashi Hawks (let's go over what we know about last season so far: #1 was 14-8. #11 was 10-12. #12 was 3-19. That's how bad the
Etouille Vultures have received an involuntary name change, dropping the accent on the E in order to fit into (poorly designed) digital systems a little better. The Vultures, right in the middle of the 10-to-12 win group last season, are bringing their stars back. Heavily investing in the forward pack, with P Marcos Laza (26), P Ré Charbonnier (22), SR Sasa Poulin (19), and SR Henrique Bouza (22) all as possible national team players. Leading the team is FB Blai Kaplan (24), with whom the Vultures can repel every attack.
