Government Description : Upon colonization of a planet, the Republic establishes a full-blown military rule over the colony often with the highest military official taking control, under them is a small cabinet that oversees the allocation of resources for the colony. The cabinet can challenge the military governor on any authority, they can also remove them if they deem the military governor to be unfit for duty.

Territorial Ambitions : Further expansion into Eastern and western Canada.
Capital City : Fort New Tirpitz, right on the start of the Hudson River. Fort New Tirpitz serves as a perfect example of what a typical settlement would look like, it is a modest settlement with high walls, extensive fortifications, and wide spaces for farming and mining. Many of the buildings are simple concrete, fortified, double story, condos with some larger three-story buildings. The road system here has been upgraded extensively and features asphalt roads with some basic sidewalks. The fort also has an airforce base and a small civilian airport. However, once someone leaves the walls of the settlement the roads become less and less asphalt eventually turning to dirt.

Majority/Official Culture : The culture of the Republic as a whole can be described as martial as citizens are expected to serve in the military, however, it is not required. The martial attitude of the republic culture is due to the necessity for them to be ready at all times in case that war was to ever break out, as in their mind an unprepared population is a dead population. A sense of ‘greater good’ mindset is prevalent within the FR, that everyone is working for the defense, prosperity, and unity of the nation. Not to mention the republic is also a proud nation, not so much as arrogant but heavy on respect. Most of the basis for the current republic culture comes from the fenvaria as they are the ones who originally organized and established the nation. There are many freedoms that the FR has things like freedom of religion to marrying any sex/gender you wish, while these freedoms are held dear, the people of the republic know that they have to protect these values no matter the cost.
Most of the nation believes that the world and the universe work in a natural cycle, meaning that when you are born you will die and give back to the cycle. For example, if one was to die, their body then would be buried and their body would feed the ground to nourish the soil for further food or growth. Thus, they are pretty against the idea of immortality as they feel like it is breaking the cycle of nourishment and sustainment as since you cannot die, you can not give back to the nation or the land. This is due in part to their religious views which hold death as something of life, one should not fear it but embrace it, death from sacrifice or old age are all acceptable. Death allows the next generation of people to prosper and live their life to the fullest, there is a certain wisdom that comes with death as it has the ability for one to look to the past and do things that the other generation didn't.

Military Description
The Republic Armed Forces doctrine is mostly built around the idea of total defense, everything from government to the economy has been planned to aid the defense of the FR in times of conflict, especially when it comes to the invasion of Fenvaria Territory. Since the Republic has adopted a high-intensity warrior culture and their culture is highly territorial, they tend to fight to the last combatant when they are holding a position, only retreating to take up new positions behind the front line. While they are moving to a new position other FR forces would move in and stage counter-attacks, set traps, ambushes, and so on. This is done to delay the enemy as much as possible to let other units get into position. The main objectives of the RAF are to keep vital planets and objectives in FR possession, delay the enemy until reinforcements arrive, and drag out the fight as long as possible to make it as costly as possible.
Army:
Size: 4 Divisions (13,200 soldiers to each division)
The role of the Republic Army is to protect ground assets, delay, and repulse ground invasions. It is an adaptive combined arms force that focuses on trench warfare.
The idea is to make the enemy break themselves upon the positions of the Army (these positions would be reinforced with armor, artillery, and aircraft) and make the enemy be in constant engagements. The Army then will launch limited, small scale strikes and offensives upon the enemy lines to determine where weak points are in the line. At the same time; aircraft and specialized formations of airborne troopers or commando forces with long-range artillery support will start to harass rear line operations to cause as much confusion and chaos as possible. Then using this information and the cover of chaos the Army will launch massive assaults across the front to exploit these weakened positions. Upon breakthroughs, the reserve forces and surviving elements of the attack formations will then be dedicated to exploiting this and leaning up with the harassing forces.
Any ground that is gained from the offensive will then be held, troopers will move up and start building a new set of fortifications and firing positions to launch further attacks. This often leads to a rather slow and methodical creep or a rather rapid pace of advance through enemy lines depending on the enemy’s reaction to the breakthrough(s).
The Republic Army specializes in rough terrain, so like heavily forested woods, mountains, and so on; they are also adept in snow warfare, as the planet they evolved on and colonized has colder climates. Thus also use this to their advantage by quickly scaling rough terrain and forcing the enemy to fight in the mountains and other favorable locations.
The Army is quite mechanized, with most of the infantry units having IFVs, trucks, LRVs, and drop ships. As a way to safely and quickly transport troopers from one location to another, and to quickly provide reinforcements/resupply to frontline forces. The Army has a strong core of all-around mobile tanks that are deployed with the infantry to eliminate enemy armor or fortifications and to exploit opportunities for breakthroughs. On the ground, the Army likes to use the sledgehammer, rather than the scalpel.
Coastal Home Patrol:

The Coastal Patrol of the Home Guard is a rather obscure and rather old branch dating back to the time when the Fenvarians were stuck on Arcadia and lacked the means to travel the stars. Often referred to as the “Wet Navy”, the Coastal Patrol is responsible for patrolling all of the bodies of water that reside on every Fenvarian held planet, making sure that planetary based pirate gangs and criminal groups are kept in check. The coastal patrol is largely made up of; cruisers, amphibious assault ships, destroyers, patrol boats, and coastal battleships. However, this can vary wildly from planet to planet depending on how industrialized and built up the planet is but, for the most part, it is safe to say that most of the habitable planets within the Republic have a coastal patrol element. Being a part of the Home Guard, they have access to pretty much the same military standard equipment as the rest of the Guard.
Air Force:

Due to how the Republic operates, there is no separate Air Force branch, instead, the Air Force has been rolled into the Army under the "Army Air Force". However, the primary mission of the AAF is to protect the skies of the colony as well as provide air support to the Republic Army and Navy. Since the colony is still quite small, the AAF is also quite small.

History : The colony was originally established on a different world - a world that was rich in fenavrium and other natural resources that were important to the Republic. Established 10 years ago, it managed to grow faster than expected due to the large amounts of fenavrium found beneath the colony. However, this also attracted visits from raiders and bandits. Over time, the fortifications of the colony were rapidly developed and expanded upon. The colony was also home to a secret military test site that was developing a new method of FTL. But the prototype misfired and caused the entire colony to vanish from the Republic, but it ended up here on Earth, in the Hudson Bay region. Now, the colony needs to expand and survive in this new and unfamiliar world.
