I dont really presume to know what's in the head of every Brexit voter. But speaking anecdotally, I know one of the reasons I voted for Brexit was to create a stronger, more powerful Britain. Speaking to other people in my community, this was a common thread as well.

Alright so a few things here:

By refusing to participate in a common fisheries policy you're creating a situation where the EU has more control over how much fishing you can do and you have less. Because the thing about fish is that they don't live in the sovereign waters of one nation, they live in the whole sea. If you won't join us in managing the stock of fish in the whole sea, then we'll do it without you, and you'll just have to live with the decisions we make.

The UK doesn't control any part of the EU. Kinda how leaving the EU works. You control your own waters, and only your own waters. The EU, being rather larger and wealthier than the UK, can do more to manage the stock of fish in the seas around the UK. And we will control that stock of fish, it's only sensible. And if enact fishing policies that leave very little fish for you without harming the long term viability of the stock, what are you going to do about it? Drive cod to extinction to spite us? I doubt it. Demand that we leave more for you? Sorry, you chose not to participate in the making of these decisions.

Of course, we're not going to wipe out your fishing industry. I hope not anyway, it wouldn't benefit us at all. But we could.

If we wanted to cut them out we could easily do so and not worry about it. They are much more dependent on us, and that's why the EU bureaucrats were scrambling to save the CFP at all costs.

The EU wants a common fisheries policy because that's obviously the best way to manage the stock of fish, so that we can have a fishing industry without driving fish species to extinction.

The EU's policies deliberately help inner city liberal elite at the expense of rural folk. The EU rolled over the rural areas of this country like a fucking plague, and the people of this country wanted fuck all to do with Brussels and their policies.

Also never have praised deindustrialisation whatever that means.

Brexit has resulted in the UK being more susceptible to U.S. diplomatic pressure. This is good as it means BoJo is less likely to kowtow to China and more likely to align Britain's trade and foreign policy with the United States, resulting in a united, anti-CCP front and greater support for Hong Kong and Taiwan, particularly with respect to genuine refugees fleeing political persecution in HK.

The Johnson administration is adopting exactly the right approach. Shut down the illegal sea crossings, save countless lives, curb the spread of coronavirus via illegal and unofficial channels, and deport legitimate asylum seekers back to the first safe country they are able to set foot in. Britain is taking back control of its borders once and for all.

Actually it seems more like China is making inroads that were previously blocked when we were able to present a unified front with the EU.

This statistic is utter bollocks. Every single person in the Commons who won their seat won because they won the most votes. That's how the electoral system works.

Just because a party wins a constituency does not mean they win with the most votes.
A PR system would also help those in Scotland keep the SNP from having near total domination of representation of their country. Many SNP votes won with less then a 5% margin.

It's a complete shambles when the Tories, who only won 43.1% of the popular vote, gains 60% of the Commons.
