Yeah they should just give up and accept a rigged election and five more years of repression. Lukashenko isn’t on very good terms with Putin at the moment. Other European countries should stop sending out statements and help oust him

You know Lukashenko will shout foreign meddling and attempt to call Russia for help. Also, if your suggestion were to play out, it would cause even worse relations between Europe/West and Russia. And if escalation proceeds, you risk Europe losing a lot of oil and natural gas supply, power could go out in a few cities (bot so sure what’s with the European electric grid, I will however assume that some cities, especially in Eastern Europe are powered by Russian non-renewables). After that, war becomes a possibility. And an all-out war is what 2020 doesn’t need.

While I do support the movement, I think it’s probably inevitable Russia will try to handle it, given Belarus and Lukashenko are under his sphere of influence.

They lost the election and their only argument for popular support is that polls outside foreign embassies (the sort of voting location where you wouldn't find Lukashenko supporters, see 'a bunch of liberals') said their candidate got 80% and Lukashenko 5%. That is my evidence.

So not really evidence at all. It's odd though that he felt the need to arrest the main opposition candidate before the polls opened, arrested opposition campaign managers, and arrested journalists at around the same point. It's also odd that observers weren't allowed to monitor the election.

There are other videos showing the same thing. Are you claiming it’s fake?

Possibly faked by an electoral official sympathetic to the opposition, if they're an electoral official at all. Not proof.

What’s your evidence it’s fake? The country is in chaos right now but that’s just a small minority stirring things up

You never tore a single one apart and never provided an argument of your own. Anyway, one might get the impression that you're trying to bait someone into going off topic so you can tell the jannies someone's threadjacking (again). Perhaps we should return to the actual topic of this thread, if you have any actual arguments this time.

That proves nothing that the EU will intervene, the only thing they'd do is put sanctions and tariffs, that's it.

It points to a pattern of behaviour of something bizarre going on, and makes the results highly suspect.

Weird that you are remembering it completely wrong. But anyway this discussion isn't about me, even though you have tried to turn it that way for some bizarre reason, so enough eh?

Your link says nothing about the EU doing anything. Which they won’t because they’d get their gas supply shut off by the Russians

Then they will hike gas prices and have their own economic and political problems at home.
