About Jecken
Jecken is a food conglomerate based in Jeckland, in the region of Esportiva. As the main suppliers of Jeckish Chicken, the national food of the nation of Jeckland, they have a major stake in football, including being the main sponsor of multiple teams throughout the multiverse. With Jecken penning a 5 season sponsorship with the Super League, they hope to develop the sport in the nation and provide youngsters with an opportunity to make the jump to other nations given their worth. Boxes of Jeckish Chicken will be served at all Super League venues.
New Rules for the Season
After a meeting with the 12 current Squidroidian clubs and the representatives of 2 new teams to join the Challenge League this season, the Squidroidian system is being given an overhaul for the future. The changes to the Super League include:
- The expansion of the season from 14 games to 28 to provide teams with a more competitive season for FFI and IFCF competition preparation
- The addition of promotion and relegation with the Challenge League, with the team bottom of the league automatically relegated and the 7th place team being placed in a promotion/relegation playoff group with the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the Challenge League
- The addition of sleeve sponsors for every team in the Super League to provide more income for struggling clubs
- The creation of the Squidroidian Shield, to be given to the Super League winner (The design to be revealed on the final day)
Calamari Wanderers CFC
Nickname: The Flying Squids
Location: Calamari County
Stadium: County Stadium (27,830 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 1st in the Super League, Quarter-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Champions League, FFI Liga dos Vencedores
Expectations: Challenge for IFCF competition
Throughout last season the Wanderers punched abnormally above their weight. The club in white, expecting to finish in a respectable position after getting knocked out of the Cup in the Last 8 phase to the eventual champions, instead romped to the Super League title with some resistance. Throughout preseason they put up a decent fight for themselves, even getting results against sides from Vdara and Kita-Hinode. Pundits are looking at this team for a deep run in the IFCF Champions League qualifiers, especially with Oda Shoko penning a new deal with the Calamari County based outfit.
Inkopolis FC
Nickname: The Inklings
Location: Inkopolis
Stadium: Inkopolis City Stadium (50,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 2nd in the Super League, Semi-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Challengers Cup, FFI Liga dos Vencedores
Expectations: Compete for the Super League title
Losing out on the title race to the Wanderers, the IFC Inklings have some business to do in the domestic transfer market with rumors of Squidroidia’s best player, Endo Hoshi, ready to move away from the giants. A solid window could see them bolster an already tough defense, 2nd best in terms of keeping the ball away from the net, and a midfield that might have the guts to go to the Group Stage of the FFI Liga dos Vencedores. Nevertheless people are expecting great things for the club as they try to lift the Super League and Cup.
FC Squidroidia Squidbreak
Nickname: The Squidbreak
Location: Takanori Army Base
Stadium: Squidroidia Armed Forces Park (30,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 3rd in the Super League, Quarter-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Challengers Cup, FFI Taça das Confederações
Expectations: Win the Super League
Last season was an embarrassment for Squidroidia’s army team. As many were expecting a title challenge from the supposed best club in the nation, they didn’t notice the glaring flaws around the team. At one point they were flirting with a last place finish, but some heroics in the home stretch of the season saw the Squidbreak finish in the Taça das Confederações spot. For the SAF however, this is not what they wanted. With a larger-than-expected batch of new recruits to the team, a B side has been set up to provide youngsters in the Armed Forces with game minutes in case they make the jump to the senior side. Expect them to easily lift the Super League title and have a ball in the Challengers Cup and Taça das Confederações this season.
Tyranny Sports Club
Nickname: The Tyranny
Location: Ichimoto
Stadium: Tyranny Arena (16,263 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 4th in the Super League, Quarter-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Challengers Cup
Expectations: Avoid relegation
This crime syndicate of a football club shocked most of the nation with its exploits last time round. Despite having a defense that resembled a tattered shield, the Ichimoto club somehow snuck into international competition in large part due to TryHard Sporting knocking them out of the Cup. However, the flaws have seemed to have stuck, highlighted by a 6-1 loss in preseason to Real Squidroid. To many, they look like a team poised for relegation and a one-and-done in the Challengers Cup. The challenge for The Tyranny looks like they will be proving the doubters wrong and escaping a relegation dogfight.
Midnight Soccer Club
Nickname: The Dark Moon
Location: Midnight
Stadium: Darkness Stadium (17,301 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 5th in the Super League, Final of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: None
Expectations: Finish mid table
The Dark Moon had a rollercoaster of emotions throughout last season. With multiple matchdays at the foot of the Super League table, only a strong cup run could keep their optimism alive. Although losing in the Final to our next team in the Preview, they finished the season strong and even had an outside chance at IFCF football without the need of a Cup victory, ending 5th and far out of harm’s way. This season, with the side looking like it has been given an oomph with new academy graduates including a seemingly great goalie. It would be ideal to finish in the Challengers Cup spots, but they look like a side stuck to midtable for now.
Real Squidroid CF
Nickname: Los Squidroids
Location: Inkopolis
Stadium: Tower Stadium (22,142 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 6th in the Super League, Squidroidian Cup winners
International Competitions: IFCF Cup Winners Cup
Expectations: Compete for IFCF competition
Los Squidroids had a day to remember after lifting the Squidroidian Cup at the home of their city rivals against MSC. With a berth in the Cup Winners Cup for the 2nd team in the capital city, the team in pink and green seem to be in control of their own destiny, as Amagawa Katsuyoshi seems to have steadied the ship and will stay with the team in the peak of his powers. What’s more is that the youngsters in the Caos Joven academy have seemed to have put in numbers when they played in their friendlies, with a bright 16 year old winger scoring against TSC in their 6-1 demolition. However, they want to ditch their CWC run in favor of a spot in Challengers or even the chance to win a title, so expect them to at the very least finish in the top 4.
Tractor Club Sawayama
Nickname: The Farmers
Location: Sawayama
Stadium: Tractor Arena (18,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 7th in the Super League, Quarter-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: None
Expectations: Avoid relegation
The promise of a player on loan from the Jovannic have not swayed the supporters of the Farmers, with the worst attacking team in the last Super League season getting no major additions to try to correct their ways. Despite playing in an awesome stadium by those travelling for an away day in the farm town, Tractor Club are expected to break down and be in a relegation battle come the home stretch of the season, if not already sealing their fate in the Challenge League this season. Everybody knows somebody has to step up in order for them to score a hay bale-thrower of a goal.
Starlight Boulevard FC
Nickname: The Boulevard Boys
Location: Starlight
Stadium: Sunrise Park (17,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 8th in the Super League, Preliminary Round of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: None
Expectations: Avoid relegation
In terms of ways to embarrass your fanbase, Starlight Boulevard have done it in more ways than one. Lose in the Preliminaries of the Cup to the worst team in the nation? Check. Go from a spot in IFCF and FFI competition to last in the league? Check. Piss off your most loyal player to the point where he drops down to the 2nd tier? You got it! The joke that was the previous Starlight season will have to be put in the rear-view mirror for now, otherwise they look like another team in the dogfight this time around in the Super League. They can’t stand another season of Midnight finishing above them.

About Inklingcraft
Inklingcraft was founded as the main automobile company in the nation of Squidroidia, but has transferred over to providing public transportation like buses and light rail. The Inklingcraft Monorail is the crown jewel of the company, as it serves the entire city of Inkopolis and provides easy transport for Squidroidia's disabled citizens. Inklingcraft will provide transportation for teams to and from their Challenge League games and will be the main kit sponsors of the Inkopolis FC and FC Squidroidia Squidbreak B teams.

Expectations: Achieve promotion by winning the Challenge League
The Octolings, wearing their signature purple and crimson getup, lifted the Challenge League title after beating Weedpot away from home. For the team led by a no-nonsense defender, they look like doing it again and setting up a big time entrance. With challenges around them, however, they seem to have taken a more offensive approach when it comes to their games. Winning against a Vdaran team and the Squidbreak in preseason does that to any team. Be surprised if they don’t win the CL this season.
Weedpot FC
Nickname: The Dank
Location: Weedpot
Stadium: Marijuana Place (4,200 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 2nd in the Challenge League, Preliminary Round of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Liga B Champions Trophy
Expectations: Achieve promotion by winning the Challenge League
Although losing on the final day to not lift the trophy in front of their home crowd, Weedpot FC have seemed to be smoking more of that kush. The Dank are entirely focused on a Liga B Champions Trophy run, and won’t stop at nothing to at least win a game of international club football. If that fails, they have something to fall back upon once they get to Challenge League action - Last year’s stellar defence. The core of that back line has mostly stayed intact except for one player who enlisted into the military and is now on the Squidbreak. The Dank look formidable for promotion this season, hoping that enough time blazing it with the m8s can get it done.
Club Factoria
Nickname: The Machine
Location: Factoria
Stadium: Mill Park (4,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 3rd in the Challenge League, Preliminary Round of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: IFCF Liga B Champions Trophy
Expectations: Achieve promotion by winning the promotion group
So much for the best attack in the Challenge League, 3rd last season seems like the wrong color smoke for this hard working team. The cogs from last season have been mostly swapped out with new talent, as a fire sale from the factory team seems to have them bracing for a Liga B recall early on, as they seem to have their working gloves on for a promotion group push. With Spartansburg City being introduced to the league, the rivalry seems to be more important, but we know they have both eyes on the furnance as it attempts to smelt a promotion opportunity. Whether or not they leave with promotion to the Super League is uncertain, but they will work hard to do it.
TryHard Sporting
Nickname: The TryHards
Location: Inkopolis
Stadium: TryHard Park (3,500 capacity)
Last Season’s position: 4th in the Challenge League, Semi-Finals of the Squidroidian Cup
International Competitions: None
Expectations: Stay competitive
Last season’s incredible effort from the worst team in Squidroidia, a last 4 appearance in the cup that nearly had them facing Real Squidroid in the Final, will likely not be repeated again. With Makino Hideo set to move to Real Squidroid, there is nothing for them to fall back on. They don’t have a Youth League U19s team.They don’t have a good manager. They don’t have anything good on either side of the pitch. They will be lucky just to not get last this season, nevermind achieving promotion. They will get points, they will score, they will probably win a Squidroidian Cup game, but they don’t seem like a side destined to do anything this season.
Northport Meadows SC
Nickname: The Herders
Location: Northport
Stadium: Meadowlands Park (7,000 capacity)

Expectations: Challenge for the promotion group
One of 2 new clubs in the Challenge League this season, we only have preseason records to go by. The club for the people of their city started off their existence as a team by doing what every new team does - Suck. A draw to Weedpot, a L to Inkopolis FC before coming back home for a draw against them before losing to Tyranny. 2 draws, 2 losses, no wins. But they have some potential. If their young core develops well, we could see them in a promotion group hunt or a decent Cup run. Don’t expect much if they flounder though, they might be chasing last if they do.
Spartansburg City
Nickname: The Ironheads
Location: Spartansburg
Stadium: Ironworks Arena (15,000 capacity)
Last Season’s position: N/A
International Competitions: None
Expectations: Achieve promotion by winning the promotion group
Thrust into the spotlight starting with this season, the Ironheads of Spartansburg City have been mainly focused on maturing their rivalry with Club Factoria. Dissing on the club for calling them plastic and fake, putting up attack ads in Factoria, they are doing seemingly everything they can to stoke the embers even more. And during preseason they put up decent results. A draw to Asteras Chania of Vdara, a 4-0 romp of Midnight, A 5-1 crash course for OVFC followed by a 3-1 victory against the same team, sure they lost 4-1 to another Vdaran outfit, but those are amazing results for a new team. They should be aiming high for the promotion group this season, any lower and they will burn out.
