First of all, this RP is closed to members of the Strategic and Economic Alliance. If you aren't a member of that region, you are not allowed to participate, I'm afraid, though very welcome to read along.
For the members of SEA, a second Welcome and glad you are here! This thread is mostly for coordination and the apps - yes, we have apps, simply so that we all know, where we stand and why we stand there (and to know, how the others look, too ; )).
So, what is this RP about? Basically, a few of your university students, ages between 20 and 25 preferred, are studying abroad for a Trimester, for three months, in the Free Lands. Where? At the Faculty of History and Archaeology of the University of Leuda, of course!
While I do plan to write out some of the lectures out, for example Introduction to Selkie-History, the focus of the RP is less on the lectures and tests and more on the interactions between characters and their shared experiences abroad, in Leuda, one of the major cities of the Free Lands. While the Trimester starts on the 3rd of August 2020, the RP itself will, as far as the IC is concerned, start on the 2nd of August 2020 in the public parlour of the Eseir Inn.
That is, where your guys will sleep, near the campus, an Inn which has been rented by the University as a dorm, so we have enough space for all (and it is a house with a good reputation, which does NOT offer 'Additional Services'). The University has assigned a number of students and a Professor as your peoples' Elaísi, which means guides, who know the city, the university and volunteered to help out the exchange students. You will find a list, including Wikia-Links, below.
Of course, your students don't need to know Selkie (it would certainly be an advantage, though ; )), because the language of lessons is English and the majority of the people speak English in one form or the other (and if that fails, hands and feet).
This will be a low-intensity RP and I don't think, that we need any major rules (except for the usual, like no Godmodding and Metagaming or be polite on the OOC).
So, here come the fun parts:
