You're not the only one. Given the ignoble death of Bloodmoon after it apparently tanked hard with test audiences, if House of the Dragon falls apart as well D&D may turn out to have singlehandedly killed the Game of Thrones franchise with 6 episodes. Which is actually pretty impressive, in a morbid sort of way.
Season 8 killed any interest I had in re-watching the adaptation of a series I've loved for over twenty years, and also makes me disinclined to pick up the books again for an umpteenth re-read. I'm currently halfway through A Game of Thrones, Fire and Blood and the World of Ice and Fire all at once, with no real desire to progress all that much further in any of them. Compare that to, let's say, just before Season 7 finished, when I was still voraciously into all things ASOAIF.
Damn those two men. If it wasn't for the Green Ronin TTRPG I'd be completely done with the franchise.
