You'll be surprised too. Those folks that don't think COVID is a big concern are a continually shrinking number as more and more of them get all the facts, change their minds and realize the dangers of this pandemic as it spreads everyplace. Meanwhile don't hold your breath for a working vaccine. That's bc of the other six coronaviruses known to infect humans... no vaccine has yet been found for any of them. I wish I had better news to tell you. Especially since I am in the high risk group.
I'm on the complete opposite side of everything you just said. Literally not concerned whatsoever. The closest its gotten to me is 2 degrees of seperation (i.e. I know someone who knows someone), and they were 80 years old and survived. Granted, that's annecdotal evidence, but this thing just isn't that bad. Extremely asymptomatic, almost everyone who's even gotten it will never know, which is why there is no vaccine for the other coranavirus strains. If it were up to me, everything would be open without restrictions. Buuut I am also in the high risk group, so gang gang lol.Jerzylvania wrote:Nah.
Right. I don't think Davis is short enough $$$ for any American to give one shit about. The notion is really utterly ridiculous.
I think Davis is going to have trouble paying for that stadium. If anything, being in debt as much as he (reportedly) is should be a scary picture for Americans who probably don't make that much in their lives. Granted, he also made a city practically pay for his stadium, so I don't feel too bad either.
Ran, this disease can cause ARDS. It literally can flood your lungs with fluid. You cannot have people in the hospital with you when you have ARDS. You have to be sedated, with a tube down your lungs, and you have a 40% chance of survival. This is from an article from a doctor in New Orleans. I have parents who work in the medical field. They have seen how hard this disease can make people drop. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Staten Island actually had to start burying people in mass graves, no Christian or Jewish burials allowed. It looked like something out of a medieval painting. You may not have it, but other people around you may have it, and may not do as well as you.
I want football more than anyone, but I don't want people to die or to be hurt watching a game they love. If we can get over a hump in like a month, then maybe we can do something, but for now, we need to just prepare for a delayed or shorter season.
