These kind of absurd news are what I live for during this boring time.

Suing Twitch for your own problem is probably the lamest way to solve a problem they can't fix for you.

The man suing did so on the basis of religious sensibilities it seems.

Edit: relational.

No, he didn't. Did you read the OP?

Or did you just see yet another chance to pound your religion in another unrelated thread?

This thread has reminded me that I've been subscribed to a washed-up homeless man who plays a children's game for over 54 months and I haven't actually watched him in well over a year. Can I sue Twitch for taking advantage of me?

A "doctor" who thinks it is necessary to mention their religion on their plaque, probably has very narrow ideas about what is sexually normal.

BTW, I personally would avoid any such doctor. They're unprofessional if they think that being a Christian is any kind of qualification!

Right, but if you're trying to be diagnosed with something that isn't true, Christians are not going to be the only people that do that.

No he did not.

He sued on the basis that he is a sex addict and felt exploited by the presence of so many sexy women

Not everything is about religion. Kindly stop shoving your faith where it doesn't belong and attempting to drag a porn lawsuit thread onto the topic of religion and marriage.

It's sad because I think he'd be happier with some sort of direction, some sort of meaning. He knows that the way he's living doesn't meet the way he's called to. He knows this instinctively, it's why he's suing. All of that animus and rage is being directed outward when it should be directed inward for now, towards self-mastery.

I think he needs help for his mental health, not rage directed at himself. As much as I agree that Christianity is ultimately the best answer, he doesn't need it as much as he needs professional support right now.

Not rage, but discipline. He could clean his room or get himself organized, there's many ways to get the ball rolling. Eventually he'll be so busy that he won't have the time to be tempted by pornography.

It's not really a matter of time. He has a more serious problem than boredom. The lawsuit itself is not going to solve anything, but it might help him get some help.

The guy is suing, because he can. Nothing more. "Estavillo has previously sued Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Blizzard Entertainment in the past for various reasons. All of the previous cases have been dismissed" , should be pretty telling, This guy obvious either thinks he slick, or is just genuinely an idiot. I think I will go with the latter.

I don't think the problem is women, it's his relational sensibilities towards them. He wouldn't be wasting his attention on pornographic actresses if he was aware of the great potential which women have.

It's such a waste.

Getting a girlfriend wouldn't be better. It might be a little better for HIM but it wouldn't be for HER.

There is also the option that maybe he likes porn? I know this may be hard to believe, but some men actually enjoy watching porn.

Judging by the news report he's, unfortunately, mentally ill. If anything, this case raises questions about the level of support people suffering with severe mental health issues and co-morbidities receive.

He sounds like the dude in my class who would flex that he tried to sue major companies. Even if he didn't succeed he'll still go yakking about it.

While I do suspect that his lawsuit will be dismissed, I believe there's hope for him to develop a healthy relationship with women in the future. Before that though, he's got to develop a healthy relationship with himself first. A relationship that's free of masturbation and pornography.
