In order to show that they know an answer, intgamers put a thumb up. While useful in buzzer-based MindClash, the gesture is frowned upon by coaches in classic intgaming, as it relaxes teammates, making them believe that you already know the answer. When you put a thumb up mid-question and realize shortly after that you don't really know the answer, it makes it much harder to kick-start a discussion. Nevertheless, the gesture has brought the term 'a thumb question' aka 'thumbie.'

Opinion:Huh, while it indeed sounds a bit like a material which conspiracy theorists could spout in Patagonia's world, it is not surprising when you know what Patron and Patagonia's futurists are like. Anyways, they are indeed playing clever - targeting propaganda for those who are weak and vulnerable. I could imagine the bloodbath and reprisals against both real and imagined far-right supporters when that revolution would finally hit Patagonia's Western Europe, even on a level of individual families.

"Like with a lot of conservatives across SC, ''family values'' are one of the major talking points of the conservatives in SC's America. However, conservatives in SC usually view the ''joint family'' model as ideal one, instead of nuclear family - in a joint family, multiple generations live under a single roof, and every member makes a contribution to the common fund. In some regions such as Disputed Zone, joint family became a necessity because the chances of surviving the hellfire and armies trampling the ground were greater if individuals stayed together, but in SC's America, such a change was more politically motivated - The Party thought, that ''joint family was way more suited for purposes of collectivism than nuclear family'', and started to particularly agitate for it in 80s during reformist period, where it considered nuclear family a ''remnant of the capitalist USA before SC'', and presented the shift as ''victory of socialism''. Although nuclear family would continue to hold out, joint family would eventually get the main positions alongside with other changes to the SC's society, which would later get spread to the other territories as well through its conquests (Some regional governors think, that ability of adjusting the SC's system to their needs was one of the reasons for its fast spread.) However, not everything is ideal in such model - if anything, there are a lot of darker sides to it. For example, the anonymous surveys and calls from Abuse and Neglect Hotline have revealed that a significant portion of the SC's younger generation doesn't feel happy in their families, due of one or multiple family members being restrictive, and/or abusive. In some cases, the socialization with others is also limited, and in combination with SC's increasing depression rates, along with reports on domestic violence, it paints a pretty grim picture. That said, it is not unusual for police in SC's America (Or Militsiya in the former Russian Empire's territories, for an example) to brush those cases under a carpet, as a part of the ''rugged collectivism'' policy, or just as an attempt to downplay negative sides in order for citizens to not lose morale. On another note, it has been said that SCPS, Tom, and SC's leadership as a whole ''doesn't have a heart to consider the actual families'' - kin/collective punishment or breaking apart the families of dissenters are only a few examples of this.''
''(Also, there are a few things on which SC's conservatives and IRL American conservatives wouldn't get along - for example, a typical SC's conservative isn't that opposed to command economy and/or socialism, and doesn't like market capitalism either. Same for the ''small government'' supporters - due of the conditions SC has found itself in, its government has grown enormous over the decades, and most likely will continue to do so. A lot of SC's conservatives also support STEM cell research, although mostly because The Party finds the STEM cell research as ''useful for the needs of the State and Collective'', and it is likely that those who oppose it have their voices silenced on the matter, just like when it comes to SC's governments taxing churches, or (military) science research. That said, they both still would probably share the anti-abortion stance, anti-LGBTQ+ opinions, religiousness&prudism, the gender roles in society (partially, as SC is a bit more similar to USSR when it comes to that), etc. So, while in some fields they could have disagreements, in others they aren't actually too much different.'')

While capital G God is alive and well, just like in real life, in Amenria's timeline, an entity was born as a side effect of all the crises in the multiverse, plus all the emotions of every sentient being in the multiverse, giving her Supreme-Ultimate, the same type power God has, albeit at a tiny fraction. Knowing of her existence, God imprisoned her behind a wall at the edge of the prime universe. She can only observe the prime universe, and even then she couldn't directly affect it and create the same miracles He did. She could only subtly influence the thoughts of sentient beings, making them do evil things and have evil thoughts.
Should the wall be broken, she still wouldn't be able to directly return to Earth. She would have to drop a physical avatar into Earth, and that avatar wouldn't know of her true nature until several specific energies are gathered into her body. After that, she would be able to take her true form and cause the calamities she always wanted to.
Why is she so evil? She's pissed that she's not the supreme being of the multiverse and that her power is nothing compared to God.
Seems like Iblis
In Sharifistan the movement to create a Republic of Sharifistan is a shaky alliance of liberals, libertarians, conservatives, fascists and communists.
What they have in common?
Hatred of the monarchy

Extra training for baton twirling? Seems inefficient.
Each of the High Executors has their own designated areas of oversight. Kal'Shazzar looks over the Civilian Sector, focusing primarily on economy and infrastructure, though he also has seniority over the other two Executors. Kaz'Ramael focuses on external matters such as trade and relations as well as military matters outside Godulan Territory. The focus of Ilia'Tyr'Nuruodo is directed towards domestic support, but also extends in some sense to intelligence gathering.
Specifically focusing on Ilia for a moment (as I'm working on writing her factbook and need to flesh things out a bit), she spends a great deal of effort on determining the nature of potential threats, and as such she edges in somewhat on Kaz'Ramael's duties as a spymaster. If she happens to note a potential threat caused by an individual, such as somebody currying political power in a way that runs counter to Godulan interests, she is empowered to act against that player with extreme prejudice (in the actual meaning of the term, that is). As her M'Lekk'Torr abilities specifically enable her EXTREME capabilities in infiltration, this action typically manifests in said threatening individual suddenly disappearing without a trace (insofar as one can't detect traces of somebody until they pick apart a wall or floor, and who would think to do that offhand?). Ilia often undertakes these responsibilities personally, which has earned her the colloquial title of 'High Executioner'.
Amusingly enough, her job purview also places her as the foremost authority in matters of education. Despite her otherwise cold and calculating nature, she quite enjoys being around children and is often noted to be quite protective of them.

Crysukon field agents and commandos sent to sabotage vehicles are equipped with a handy device. a package the size of 2 fingers, a mixture of a thickening agent and abrasive granules in a liquid soluble wrapper. When inserted in a vehicles fuel tank, it is designed to clog up the fuel system by turning the fuel to sludge while the abrasive powder will clump together in pipes, injectors and other parts and with the thickened fuel will gum up the system in short order.

Pragmatic. We have little use for slaves: we're relatively small, not that large in population and rely on trade rather than production or tax. So we have neither the means to keep a large population of plantation workers enslaved indefinitely nor do we find the money you'd need for it a good use of our budget. That is not to say the "slave trade" doesn't occur. We're as complicit in transporting slaves through the Atlantic as everyone else. We allow them to be sold or bought on our trading posts and settlements.
AN: I remain thoroughly doubtful that Azania could defeat Belgium in a war that quickly if at all, especially since Britain is their ally (and would have come to their) aid. That said, can't say it could happen to a better guy.

Throughout the 16th century, the Triangle Trade was of utmost importance for the Peasant Republic. As more than 70% of the country's income was either from trade or production for trading, the only thing more important to the country was the security of both the Baltic Sea trading Zone and the Dutch Coast Trading Zone. Thanks to its territories in New Heligoland (OTL Trinidad), New Leeuward (OTL St. Martin) and Frisoland (OTL Jamaica) it harvested coffee, cocoa, sugar and tobacco, which it traded in Africa through its factories in Guinea and the settlements in Fort Dorothea (OTL Calabar) and Bioko (OTL Fernando Po) in exchange for dyes, ivory and wool. The outcome of both trades ended up in the main port of the Republic in Leeuwarden, where it would then be exported to both mainland Europe and the Baltic Sea. Unlike most other countries in the Triangle Trade, the Peasant Republic didn't rely on slavery for its plantations and mills in Caribbean. This status quo came to be eroded after the establishment of New Frisia in North America (OTL location not yet decided) and the expansion of Dutch and Freeman trade in Asia through the Cape of Good Hope in early thee 17th century.
