Hello, compatriots! It’s TTV news crew from the Recuecn.
Yes, we are again with bad news. Our team was not able to win a second victory in the group stage of the Pan-Pacific Cup. Despite the fact that the Trolleborg team made serious efforts, not one of the moments created by it was ever realized. And the guys looked a little tired (in fact, seriously tired), even those of them who replaced.

Game begin, continue and ends with attacks of our team, and no one dare to tell that our team was not eager to win or lacking will to fight. Nevertheless, will is not added points. Good possibilities to hit the net have almost every field player, but luck avoided us - we must add, that, rather unfortunately, the lack of luck has already become a hallmark of our sport teams.

See yourself few of the situations when our lads can count on goal:

Statistical Summary:
Bran Astor – Trolleborg 0:0.

Trolleborg: Kotsson, Laaste, Dushegub, Hoyte, Aldekamp (Wolters,73), Kolding (Torquelson,57), Finnsnes, Troll, Skaloed, Gulbranden, Severin (Kerr,84).

Сhairman of FA Torben Mortensen describe things for us:
Yes, it is impossible not to notice that the team slowed down noticeably at the end of the first game, allowing opponents to reduce the score to a minimum and almost wringing the fans' nerves. And in this game we also lacked physical readiness, our guys were regularly late for exactly half a step in situations where everything could change. Personally, I believe that this, in all probability, is the result of having suddenly to gather for the tournament and therefore our lads had to go without acclimatization. Recuecn is located in West Pacific and all three opponents in the group are from there, so they do not need to adapt to the climate and time zone, which levels the strength of the teams. Yes, of course, I understand that we are all waiting for victories, but personally I always spoke as an official representative of FA - we can only successfully compete on the international stage provided that we have the patience, we will consistently execute training programs for a national teams and not rattle the players and coaches. Let's all wish the guys good luck in the third match of the group stage.

Anserisa moves to the next stage at Pan-Pacific Cup

Image

ALA-Sportem reports
People gathered for a special screening of the match between Anserisa and Syrixia at Princio-Stéphano I Park in Brantavilla couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. With a victory, Anserisa is qualified for the next stage at its first ever international competition, with a 1-0 victory over Syrixia.

The first half of the game saw the Anserisan team powering through and going a little bit more aggressive against their opponents, with nice goal attempts, especially one at the 25 minutes mark from Ferrutio Tallérium that was narrowly saved by Manmohan Lalri, the goalkeeper of Syrixia. But the tide reversed for their opponents with narrow saves by Donatiano Daladium, especially the spectacular save made at the 37 minutes mark. Just before heading to their locker rooms, a mistake made by the Syrixian side powered the attack of the Anserisan which were able to put one in the back of the net at the 43 minutes mark, a goal scored by Constantina Cornélium, team captain on an play set up by Déodato Adum.

The second half was played more defensively by the Anserisan side, probably in fear of losing their narrow advance over their opponents which still saw good attempts from the Anserisan side, especially on the direct free kick awarded at the 59 minutes mark which was saved by the other team. Still, near the 76 minutes mark, in an effort to stop the Syrixian attack, Anserisan #5, Léonido Ouéldium got injured and had to leave the game, being replaced by #15 Désirata Norticotium of the Chevrona Regiment, making her international debut and joining teammate Hortensia Moussum. The team reports that Ouélidium may be able to return for the next game.

The few last minutes saw the Anserisan crowd on their feet, to celebrate the victory that brings the team to the first position in group D and qualifies the team for the next stage.

What a feeling, being able to advance so far in this tournament, when we had little to no experience in international football, is surreal and indescribable. I have no words and I wish to thank the Anserisan people who made the trip here to watch and cheer for the team, we thank you very much, your support has been more than appreciated and we'll try to do our best in the following games.
-Constantina Cornélium, captain of the Anserisan National Football Team.

With this win, Anserisa receives three points, takes the first position in group D, just one point above Syrixia, and qualifies for the next stage of the Pan-Pacific Cup.

The Kapikala Kronicler: And a Tie to Boot

Postby Kapikala » Tue May 12, 2020 2:26 pm

OOC: short post due to AP exam

Matchday 2 has ended with a 1-1 tie between Kapikala BT and the Kharangia National team. When looking for a team roster we were unfortunately unable to find one for the Kharangia National team. The game was ultimately a slow one with neither team being able to mount many good attacks and not much to report on other than the goals scored. Kapikala's John Dart scored the first-ever goal for the team on a national stage after receiving a low through ball from Billy Lara, passed between the center backs and Dart placing it in the bottom right-hand corner of the net in the 48th minute. Kharangia's #23 scored their team's only goal of the match off of a header after a righthand corner kick by #12 flew over Mitchell Thomas' head and snuck right by Richardson in the 56th. The Kapikala team hopes to win their next game against Dalimbar in an effort to at least win one game before the end of their first tournament.

HIGHTON COASTS INTO LAST 16
Rydz, Alexís partnership helps Blue Kokos to victory
Image
The duo combined for 6 goals.

RIXION CITY, RX -- Sebastian Brook's team has had a stellar start to the Pan-Pacific Cup, winning all three of their group stage matches. The Blue Cocos had a strong start to their opening match against the Death Syndicate at Kokospark, with 6-time CEFA Goldener Ball winner Alexís scoring the opener inside seven minutes. Alexís' goal was a well-struck volley from the edge of the penalty box which sent the Hightonian supporters into pandemonium. Neu-Club's prodigy Mario Rydz doubled that lead in the 22nd minute, tapping in a brilliant cross from Fernando Rossi. The flag was initially put up for offside but amidst the confusion, a VAR check was held which reversed the decision and awarded the goal. The 2-0 scoreline remained for most of the first and second half. Alexís had a chance to get his second goal but scuffed the shot wide in the 66th minute. The third goal came from Julien Santana in the 84th minute when the fullback tucked home a ball that had fallen to him at the edge of the area. The opposition got a consolation goal back in the 89th minute.

On matchday 2, Highton fell behind early, with Kartujia jumping to a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute. Highton replied quickly, however, with Jonas Lettman equalizing in the 8th minute, scoring a header off of a Rossi corner kick. The game was very even for the majority of play. In the 80th minute, Francis Júniot was red-carded, suspending him for the next match. Despite being a man down, Matija Paunović won a free kick just outside the penalty in the 93rd minute. With the score level at one apiece, the Hightonians in the crowd at AMW Stadium in Trier watched early. Alexís stepped up for the set-piece and drilled the ball into the top corner, delivering a dramatic winner.

To advance, the Blue Cocos needed a win in the final match at the Rixion Bowl in Rixion City. Brooks started Santana in the place of the suspended Júnior hoping it would make an impact. It did immediately, with the young full-back assisting Rydz early with a 12th-minute header to give Highton the lead. Nieubasria stormed back, however, scoring two goals in quick succession right before half-time. Highton reacted well in the second half despite being down a goal. At half-time, Brooks introduced Matija Paunović for the second game running and it would be a decisive substitution. The forward made an instant impact, scoring in the 48th minute to level the game at two. Paunović set up Rydz again in the 70th minute to give Highton the lead, with the youngster bending a shot from 18-yards out into the top corner of the net. Seven minutes later Alexís won a penalty but instead of taking it himself, he handed the ball to Rydz, who completed his hattrick. Rydz collected the match ball after the final whistle as the boys in blue and gold coasted into the next round.

Please note that the news posts might not look as nice as they would on the normal TNP forum because of the way that this forum operates.

Poafmersia 1
Handris 68' (assisted by Haodao)
Reçueçn 0

First 11: Jaliaha; A. Pickford, D. Hoboson (captain), Rikachz, D. Pickford; Walshor, Moonar, Mchargarita; Haodao, Handris, Carisa
Substitutes: None

Sometimes you suspect the Red Panjias only pushes themselves hard enough against strong teams. Today against Reçueçn, they gave in their 110%, and with the away fans cheering them on (albeit getting outnumbered by the home fans), they went home with a full 3 points and a clean sheet that kept their survival hopes alive.
Both teams were fantastic - that was undeniable. Both sides played 4-3-3, albeit with a different central midfielder. For Reçueçn, they chose to play a defensive midfielder, while Poafmersia stuck with an attacking midfielder.
The match was rather close in terms of statistics. Although Reçueçn had slightly more possession with 54%, Poafmersia had more shots with 11 shots to Reçueçn's 9. Both sides had 4 shots on target, but the difference was that Shakira Handris scored one while Reçueçn didn't score any.
The match was basically too beautiful to be described in words. Possession switched frequently as the players made fine tackles. But there was also fine passes, such as the one made by Dargis to Joel (who couldn't have remembered that?) crossing over half the field and past 3 opposition players. Some of the shots were brilliant - such as Franky Adams' overhead bicycle kick that hit the crossbar and went out narrowly. Really, the result did not do Reçueçn justice as they were brilliant. However, for Poafmersia, it was a much needed result as it allows the team to remain in contention.

Group G Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Hanguk-Nippon 2 2 0 0 6 0 +6 6
2 Recuecn 2 1 0 1 2 1 +1 3
3 PotatoFarmers 2 1 0 1 1 1 0 3
4 Gryphonian Alliance 2 0 0 2 0 7 −7 0

Looking at the table, Poafmersia could not afford to slip up against bottom side Gryphonian Alliance, and needs to win big in order to stand a chance, following Hanguk-Nippon's 5-0 trashing. 6 points does give Poafmersia a high chance of making it into the knockout rounds provided we get second, as seen by the second table below which includes the results from yesterday, where Group A to F had just completed their group stage.

Ranking of second-placed teams
No. Team Name P W D L GF GA GD Pts
D2 Syrixia 3 2 0 1 2 1 1 6
E2 Asya Republic 3 1 2 0 6 5 1 5
J2 Fujai 2 1 1 0 3 1 2 4
F2 Arnic 3 1 1 1 10 10 0 4
C2 Spheric Marble Mallorcan Republic 3 1 1 1 4 4 0 4
A2 Nieubasria 3 1 1 1 4 5 -1 4
L2 Strala 2 1 0 1 5 4 1 3
I2 Libterraria 2 1 0 1 4 3 1 3
G2 Recuecn 2 1 0 1 2 1 1 3
B2 Qvait 3 0 3 0 9 9 0 3
K2 The Atlae Isles 2 1 0 1 6 6 0 3
H2 Dalimbar 2 1 0 1 1 1 0 3

Only top 4 teams among the second-placed teams can qualify, and based on the above chart, 4 points with a positive goal difference does make it for now. The next 6 groups playing today will change the table, but ultimately, max points is what Poafmersia is aiming for.

Greetings, compatriots! It's TTV right from the field.
Finally, we had a rare opportunity to congratulate the football community with something, our team won a landslide victory, headed the group and got a ticket to the playoffs. It is still unknown however where Trolleborg is playing next match and with whom, which makes the fans and the coaching staff seriously nervous.

Statistical Summary:
Trolleborg - GI-Land 4:1 (4:1).

Skaloed,12 (1-0). Troll,19(2-0). ???, 25, pen.(2-1). Skaloed,30 (3-1). Skaloed,44(4-1).
Trolleborg: Kotsson, Laaste, Dushegub (Hoyte,56), Troger, Wolters, Torquelston (Levenrkans,67), Finnsnes, Troll, Groningen, Gulbranden, Skaloed (Kerr,86).

All the most interesting events took place in the first half. Those who were stuck in traffic or lost time during inspection at the entrance to the stadium missed a lot. At first, the journalists were surprised why the coach chose Groningen, a player known for his talent for defensive actions in the center of the field, in a match in which he needed to build and score, but now we can marvel at his insight.

Our guys started quite cheerfully, and in the 12th minute Groningen showed his talent in midfield – intercept ball, made an accurate pass, and then Troll skillfully gave a chance to Skaloed, and he opened the score.

Image

Shortly thereafter, Torquelston made a rather bad cross, but Wolters take the ball, picked up a moment, make the precise pass across field and from there Troll reliably shot as he knows how and loves to do, 2-0.

Image

Only victory left opponents a chance for a playoff, and they quickly score one goal, from the penalty awarded for a handball - from our point of view, the referee decision was not indisputable, but the referee is the referee

Image

But just a few minutes later the situation with the first goal was repeated, again Groningen successfully intercept the ball in the middle, passed forward to the Skaloed and he accurately shot on goal.

Image

Knowing, however, how much insidious fate for us and how much modern sport depends on chance, we did not relax. However, our guys even before the break put everything in their places, bringing the score to 4:1. Troll made a great precise pass forward, and Skaloed successfully completed the rest of
the task

Image

Opponents tried to challenge this goal, claiming that our striker was in offside, but the referee correctly figured out the situation. Judge for yourself, in slow motion everything is perfectly visible

Image

Unfortunately, we must admit that the Trolleborg players, having brilliantly play in the first half, substantially lost their spirit in the second, the necessary freshness and vigor was not felt anymore, nor there was level of concentration due for matches like this one. But still, our lads have a couple of good moments in order to widen the gap. In one of the these episodes, the ball hit the crossbar.

Image

In principle, our team went through its group quite confident, although not without blots and many would like to ask uncomfortable questions to the management and players. The football our lads play looks pretty good and attractive. But, knowing the insidious disposition of fortune and ordinary twists of fate, there is no doubt at all that, in accordance with the rules of the genre, we will lose the next match to an unknown team with a rare, but pretty normal football score (as Kelssek put it recently), something like 6:9, 4:11 or so.

SPHERIC MARBLE MALLORCAN REPUBLIC ONE OF TWO TEAMS TO WIN ALL MATCHES IN GROUP STAGE

After a hard-fought game with Necosia, Mallorca earns victory 2-1 thanks to last minute save by Allob, the Mallorcan Marbles now advance to the next phase where the hope to reiterate the successes during the group stage

When interviewed, the marble’s coach said “we have high hopes to go far in the competition and we are currently aiming for the semi-finals”. For their first appearance on the international scene, the marbles have stunned the pacific while cruising through the group changes unchallenged, leaving analysts baffled on how such outsiders have been able to defeat experienced players, it is to say, that all team members have experience in playing in the national tournament, the marblympics, where they were top-grade athletes

Despite the 0-0 draw against Tinfect, the Disperso national team obtained the qualification to the next phase of the competition by qualifying first in the group at 5 points. A result that, according to many, could have been far better but very penalized by the year of break away from the playing fields that the team had to go through.

Despite this, the team looks confidently to the next opponents, confident that they can give their best in this new phase of the competition

Anserisa to appear in its first quarterfinal after 1-0 (AET) victory over Puelo

ALA-Sportem reports
The incredible story of the first-ever apparition of the Anserisan National Football Team on the international stage continues as Anserisa continues forward and heads into the quarterfinals of the Pan-Pacific Cup.

I have never been prouder to be an Anserisan than today, I wish the best of luck to our team for the next game and Gloria Anserisa !
-Columbo Septimum, President of Anserisa.

Nobody would have expected that. The diverse team of players from tiny islander nation of Anserisa is continuing its winning streak by maintaining their defensive style which has been paying off so far during the tournament.

While the first half provided exciting moments, especially at the 27 minutes mark with the first goal being disallowed which was ruled to be scored offside. Later, a corner kick by the Anserisan team provided a nice opportunity with the ball hitting the post after 38 minutes of play. Only downside for the Anserisan in the first half, the two yellow cards, to Floro Quimbérlium and Eustachio Napium.

The second half was also interesting especially for the narrowly missed opportunity by Puelo and the attempt made by the Anserisan that was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper of Puelo. With both teams having a great game, the game still being tied after regulation time went into extra time to declare a winner.

The winning goal came after, in the second half of the extra time after 115 minutes of play, when Anserisan captain, Constantina Cornélium, received a pass from Eustachio Napium and was able to find the back of the net. Not long after, the opponents where almost able to once again come to a draw with their ball going wide.

We have worked hard on our style of play, we have worked hard on our chemistry, we have worked hard to play as a team and when we win it is as a team. I am terribly proud of this team and there are now just a few games to win before going down in the history books, and that's where we're going.
-Avilia Camerun, Head coach of the ANFT.

With this win, Anserisa makes it to the quarterfinals of the Pan-Pacific Cup and will meet up against PotatoFarmers.

Sporting Daily - Round up of MD3 and Round of 16
Report by Roisig Hana
We must have lost track of time, because we missed the last two matches' report and here we are, coming to do that as we await Poafmersia (PotatoFarmers if you prefer our original name)'s next match in the Quarterfinals.

Poafmersia 2
Carisa 29' (assisted by Haodao)
Tang 81' (assisted by Haodao)
Gryphonian Alliance 0

First 11: Jaliaha; A. Pickford, D. Hoboson (captain), Rikachz, D. Pickford; Walshor, Moonar, Mchargarita; Haodao, Handris, Carisa
Substitutes: Tang 65' (for Handris)

First there was this match, which was a must win. Against a team who posted no roster whatsoever, and who just got trashed 5-0, Poafmersia was at their best, scoring 2 really fine goals. First it was Pete Carisa who curved the ball in from a tight angle to open the scoresheet in the 29th minute. Next it was substitute Hansel Tang who added the second goal 9 minutes from time after recieving a nice through pass. And who gave them both the pass? None other than Joel Haodao, who has been selflessly giving away balls and providing many opportunities to score. If not for their goalkeeper and the cold wind blowing, there was no way the scoreline would have been so little. 2 goals. Thank goodness we scored 2 goals, for it allowed us to match with Recuecn on goal difference and qualify due to a superior head-to-head record.

Poafmersia 4
Carisa 33'
Handris 48', 108'
Haodao 84'
Highton 3
Alexis 15', 77'
Lettman 52'

First 11: Jaliaha; A. Pickford, D. Hoboson (captain), Rikachz, D. Pickford; Walshor, Moonar, Mchargarita; Haodao, Handris, Carisa
Substitutes:
D. Trasa (Mchargarita 77')
A. Hoboson (Rikachz 89')
Warisian (A. Pickford 105')

It was a bloodbath. Against a region-mate, there was absolutely nothing we can do to stop a fierce match between both sides. Thank God nothing became rowdy, as the referee did not have to reach into his pocket to take out a single card.
Alexis showed his capabilities by opening the scoring in the 15th minute through a brilliant solo effort. Having caught the defence napping, Alexis dribbled past 3 defenders to open the scoring. It was until the 33rd minute where Pete Carisa equalised after Dargis Walshor found an unmarked Pete from the other side of the pitch, and Pete scored from a one-on-one position. After the halftime, Shakira Handris scored another through a long range effort from just outside the box, but barely 4 minutes later the Highton captain made another shot towards the goal. The ball bounced of Sandi's hands and found a waiting Lettman, who tapped in to keep the scoreline at 2-2. Alexis later scored a header through a corner effort, prompting head coach Adnan Suliaha to make his first substitution to put on fresh legs. And the substitution was brilliant, with Trasa making a fine through pass to find Joel Haodao 6 minutes from time and keeping the score level again.
Since 90 minutes cannot separate the sides, the fans of both sides cheered even harder going into extra time. It would be the Poafmersian captain, Shakira, who would score the winner of the night after dribbling past 2 defenders to fire a powerful shot into the top corner. Kudos to Highton, they fought hard, and ultimately, it was Poafmersia who kept their slander lead and made it into the next round.
It was not the only match between TNP representatives that night. Earlier, the Nessuno territories played against Syrixia, where the former ran out winners 3-1. Poafmersia would play them if both teams make it into the semifinals, being drawn on the same side of the bracket. Hopefully, both sides are able to progress from the quarterfinals and ensure a representative from TNP in the finals of this Pan-Pacific Cup.

Hello, dear people of Trolleborg! It’s we, TTV, right now from Highton, where our national team play its playoff game against HUElavia. The team, fans and journalists quickly and in highly organized manner relocated to a new place as soon as they found out where the match will be held, and a few hours after the news, our fans “delighted” the locals with their loud and noisy presence. But they will certainly cease to be annoying soon.

STATISTICAL SUMMARY:
HUElavia – Trolleborg 0:1 (0:1).

Laaste, 22(0-1).
Trolleborg: Kotsson, Laaste, Dushegub, Troger, Wolters, Kolding, Groningen (Bagger,68), Finnsnes, Troll, Skaloed, Gulbranden (Kerr,82).

HUElavia, a team with significant experience in international competitions, is significantly higher than we are in the KPB table, and our experience in friendly matches against them has shown that this team is difficult to play against. But there was so little time for preparation that, apparently, we did not have time to properly understand the complexity of the situation and the team played as expected from it – highly organized, attentive, but not neglecting the classic style of our football.

We have prepared for you the most interesting fragments of the live broadcast, however, the color “falls out” slightly in it, so that part of the uniform of our opponents does not look as it should. But, as you know, 3D for sports broadcasts from abroad does not always happen as it should.

The only goal was scored already in the first half: Laaste, although a nominal defender, decisively used the opportunity, went ahead to the opponents' half of field, and at the moment when all the opponents were pulled to our right flank, he enter the box and make a beautiful header.

Image

HUElavia created a number of dangerous moments, and in several episodes was close to leveling the score, but our defenders and goalkeeper managed this difficult situation

Image

There were chances for our players to find the net again, the most real was chance for Troll, but the bar played for HUElavia after his strike, and Severin failed to be first at the rebound in the fight against the defenders.

Image

Again, our players lagged as the game near the end, but nevertheless continue to control the game. At the very end, Skaloed run from also tired opponents' defenders and make a shot, but the referee canceled the goal, judging that our striker was in offside position. It seemed to many that it not so, but alas, the referee was adamant.

Image

There was no limit to the joy of the fans after the game, for a long time our teams had not going to the playoffs from any group in any sports, be it hockey, basketball or football, so the events of previous day is a pleasant surprise itself, and victory against decent opponent like HUElavia is added much more delight to it. But in the next round a rather unpleasant surprise awaits us - in the opponents we got the original and already rustling team from Territorio di Nessuno, who won in their group in a tough and competitive struggle, and, it seems, not afraid of anyone.

A new success for the Disperso national team. After qualifying for the round of 16 the team met the fellow regionals and older friends from Syrixia,
ranked among the best second places in the groups, in what resulted as an easy win for 3-1.

The next match, however, will prove difficult given that the team will face Trolleborg, ranked first in the respective group, in what may become a very difficult quarter-final for the team.

A note of bitterness comes from the news regarding the elimination from the competition of Highton by PotatoFarmers, 3-4 at extra time, finding the possibility of a rematch denied.

The formation for next game:

The Força Rubra in semi-finals, the story behind this "Miracle Team".

ALA-Sportem reports
Today we focus on the team behind the latest streak of victories in this Pan-Pacific Cup, the Équipa Nationala do Pespila Anserisana. How this team came through and is now heading into the semi-final after a 4-3 win against Poafmersia. The match was won by the Anserisan team but the win could have gone either way with the game still tied with only 3 minutes left to play, when substitute player, Christiana Clémençum scored the winning goal. She had to substitute for Déodato Adum injured in the first half of the game.

Also considering the fact that the Anserisans were trailing 1-2 after the first half of the game is even more impressive, with Mélania Plessium scoring her second goal of the tournament from a direct free kick. Pete Carisa and Jessie Mchargarita scoring for the Poafmersians. And the start of the second half was not better for Anserisa was trailing 1-3 after 56 minutes of play, after a goal scored by Gisiik Moonar, but was able to score twice after two swift goals made by Ferrutio Tallérium and Constantina Cornélium, a goal scorer in each of the three previous games, the rest is history.

Cornélium, the best Anserisan player for this tournament, is so far on the spotlight for her accomplishments on and off the field. An Opuso native, the smallest municipality in all of Anserisa, she plays for the Vexilla Counts, the team she grew with when she was young, she is captaining this team with an unforeseen wonderful result, with a four games winning streak that is taking the team to a historical semifinal. The achievement is even more impressive especially because of her age, at 35, she is the oldest player on the team.

Just to have been part of this team is wonderful, and to have been its captain is an even greater honour. I know it's my last chance to play internationally and I will be giving all my best for the duration of the tournament, no matter what, I will be there and giving my 100%. If we would've felt defeated after trailing 3-1 we would've never gathered the energy to continue and follow thru our plan and finally win this game. We had to differ a little bit from our style of play to play more aggressively and we did, finally winning this crucial victory and continuing forward in this tournament.
-Constantina Cornélium, captain of the ANFT.

Cornélium is expected to retire after the tournament, at least of international football, her future is uncertain with the Vexilla Counts, but sources say that she may be offered a contract for the Brantavilla FC, the most decorated club in the league. Brantavilla FC is sending 6 players, more than any other club, with 3 on the starting 11, the most notable being Donatiano Daladium, the Anserisan goalkeeper. The Brantavilla FC is actually favourite to win the Calpurnio-Fabricium Cup in Anserisa.

Mélania Plessium on the other end is a new star in Anserisa, aged 21, she is the youngest on the starting 11, playing for the Regina Royals, a division opponent to the Vexilla Counts and with 2 goals, she is the second best Anserisan scorer. Contrary to Cornélium, Plessium still has many years ahead and her contract with the Royals is still valid for 5 more years.

These two players, adversary in the domestic professional league, opposites in age, is the unlikely duo actually leading the charge for Anserisa and giving the much needed victories to bring the team to a good first presence in international football.

All these victories would never be the same without the stellar goalkeeping of Daladium of the Brantavilla FC. Born in Fuga, a Brantavilla suburb, Daladium had the chance at 19 to make his debut in professional football with the Chevrona Regiment and was finally able to sign a contract with his childhood team at the age of 25 and to win its first championship at the age of 26 with the Brantavilla FC.

It is an honour to wear this shirt, to wear the name of your country is amazing, there are no feelings alike anywhere. Of course, winning the Calpurnio-Fabricium Cup was a big achievement in my career, but it's still nothing compared to the feeling of representing the nation you were born in. Also, having the chance to play with actual teammates and former teammates, like Hortensia Moussum who I played with when I was still playing for Chevrona is a wonderful experience and a chance I may never get again, I was a little bit defeated when I let the third goal slip and that we were trailing by 2 goals, but I knew the team had it in them to continue and to win this game with all they had.
-Donatiano Daladium, goalkeeper.

Pétronilla Landrum, former rookie of the year is also part of this team, aged 25, normally plays for the Céruléa Merchants, one of the oldest continuous club in the league. Born in Aquila, she is married to former teammate Formoso Richardsum, now playing for the Pristina Surfers and a substitute for the team.

ALA announced that a special 90-minute special with interviews with players, former domestic players and other famous Anserisan people will be played before the semifinal game against Trolleborg.

Postby Trolleborg » Fri May 15, 2020 12:27 pm

Good evening, compatriots! This evening is real good, we must tell you. It’s because our team won quarterfinal game against stubborn and skillful team of Territorio di Nessuno. Game was not easy at all, everyone must admit.

STATISTICAL SUMMARY:
Territorio di Nessuno – Trolleborg 2:3 (1:2).

Gulbranden,12 (0-1). Mladenov, 17(1-1). Kolding,54(1-2). Kerr,79(1-3). Steuart,90+2(2-3).

Trolleborg: Kotsson, Laaste, Troger, Dushegub, Wolters, Torquelston (Finnsnes,54), Troll, Valgren, Kolding, Gulbranden, Kerr (Severin,81).

Unexpectedly, Stuart Kerr got into the main team second time during this tournament. As we all know too good, he suffers from the consequences of an injury received at the Cup of Harmony. His first game ended in a goalless draw and our striker did not please the fans at all. In this game, we again saw the Stuart we used to see. However, let’s don’t make any guesses, and be just happy for our scorer. Rather unusual, second forward position was given to the Gulbranden, who spent whole tournament on the bench. Our coach decide for some reason recreate his attacking pair from the last WCQ, and this move make a lot of people raised an eyebrow.

In the beginning of the game our players moved to the opponent’s box, and shortly after the starting whistle, Gulbranden showed why head coach give him a place in the starting lineup, make a beautiful and almost model header

Image

But the opponents did not stay behind for long, seized the initiative and quickly evened the score - after the mistake of our players in the center of the field there was an interception, followed by the pass to the Mladenov, who was already on the run and the rest was already a matter of technic, which he have a lot

Image

Very quickly, however, our players could come forward again. After a fight on the outskirts of the penalty area Troll delivered ball to the Gulbranden, who turned out to be in posession of the ball right opposite the goal, but failed to control his nerves and make a shot in the manner completely different from what we expected from him

Image

Both teams has opportunities then, and our team was fortunate to spend them more effectively. At the beginning of the second half Kerr lured the Nessuno defense players on himself and gave a smart pass to the right, Kolding will have only to move to the box and make a precise shot, which he, fortunately, did flawlessly

Image

Toward the end of the game, our players scored for the third time, although the opponents had questions whether everything was okay with this goal. Thasaikas was so emotionally protesting that the judge was already reaching for a yellow card. Only a video replay allowed to establish exactly what the episode ended with. Stuart Kerr recorded another goal to his name, and there was about ten minutes to play

Image

Almost immediately, Gulbranden again had a great chance to score, and if he had used it, then, undoubtedly, this goal could have claimed the audience’s choice prize for a best goal in the tournament, but the ball missed the goal just a little.

Image

And very quickly, our team had every reason to regret about this unscored goal, because Nessuno staged a real assault on our box and in the last minutes, already in the added time, scored the second goal, when after the real mess in the penalty box, Steuart turned out to be the quickest of the players.

Image

But, fortunately for us, there was no enough time for something else on the part of Nessuno.

Opponents in the semifinals will be team of Anserisa, our neighbors in the South Pacific region.
There are not many reasons for us to joy: Anserisa took first place in the first stage, winning it in a heavy fighting of three strong ambitious new teams, and they together sending to the last place in their group none other than Kandorith, considered to be a clear favorite. And this, by the way, Kandorith is the 68th team of the KPB rankings, in the same weight class as we are. Anserisa then won against Puelo in the first round, in extra time, demonstrating high spirit. And then they confirmed their tenacity and football ingenuity by knocking out our sworn friends from Poafmersia in the quarter-finals, so there will be no replay of BoF semi-finals of last year. The next time we decide to complain about bad luck, let us recall the tragic lot of Poafmersia: to shot down both hosts of the championship – and lose in the quarterfinals.

It will be very disappointing if Anserisa does not take part in the World Cup, probably they should apply as soon as possible. Without this bright team, the qualifying tournament definitely will lost something.

Anserisa heads to the final on its first international tournament !

Image

ALA-Sportem reports
What a ride for the Anserisan team. Unknown at the beginning of the tournament, the Anserisan is now breezing through to the final in what was a decisive victory winning 4 to 1 over South Pacific neighbours Trolleborg.

It proved to be an interesting game till the end, even if after the first half of the game, the Anserisan led 2-0 over their opponents. With goals being scored by Mélania Plessium and Eustachio Napium, respectively after 10 and 29 minutes of play and many great saves by goalkeeper Donatiano Daladium over the fast-paced attack of Trolleborg, led by Stuart Kerr and Torfinn Skaloed who both came close to scoring goals, especially with one hitting the left-side post at the 33 minutes mark. One yellow card was awarded to the Anserisan side, to #5 Léonido Ouéldium.

The second half was played even more aggressively from the Trolleborg side with many fast attempts which finally paid off after 49 minutes of play, a goal scored by Stuart Kerr on a brilliant play set up by Finn Finnsnes. Unfortunately for the Trolls, it was the last goal scored on their side, with the Anserisan putting two more in the back of the nets, goals scored by Constantina Cornélium, her 4th of the tournament and Eustachio Napium, its second of the game. This sealed the fate of Trolleborg and gave the victory to Anserisa.

Both teams played a wonderful game with brilliant plays that could've resulted in a much different outcome, especially for Trolleborg, who's attack was often coming close to the net, but good defence from the Anserisan side prevented a different outcome.

Pétronilla Landrum,CB for the Anserisan team had good comments about their opponents :

They played very good football and we look forward to play against them anytime. It could have gone either way, I am glad we are going to the final, and it would've also been good to see them in the final as well, in fact, I would've much preferred to face a regional rival in the final than in the semifinal.
-Pétronilla Landrum

Constantina Cornélium and the Anserisan team has been invited by the President of Anserisa, Columbo Septimum, to receive the Medal of the Republic for their achievement in leading this team to its first ever final, in its first ever tournament.

With this win, Anserisa is heading to the final of the Pan-Pacific Cup and will face the winner of the match between Fujai and The Atlae Isles.

Third Place Game
Trolleborg 1–1 Fujai (2–2 AET) (1–3 pen.)

I realize that this isn't the end of the tournament, but it's my last turn announcing scores, so I'll make my little speech here: Congratulations to both competitors for making it so far, and to everyone else for making the Inaugural Pan-Pacific Cup so wonderful! It was a joy to read everyone's rps throughout the tournament and I hope we have a chance to roleplay together again soon.
