They didn't get a pass though. All the dirty laundry was aired, the GOP was just spineless and put partisanship over anything else. It's a shame to see the Dems doing the same.

So you're insisting the Democrats need to operate on the premise that Biden is guilty from the start.

After years of using rape allegations as a political tool, how are you gonna respond when the same happens to you? Fucking hilarious.

Sure, Biden himself has more or less said so in the past.
But the Republicans don't, so in effect they should hobble themselves on the slightest pretense like they did with Al Franken while not even video evidence of a sex crime would knock a Republican out.

It's called having the moral high ground. They seem very content to forfeit it on the topic of sexual assault though, it's pretty clear nobody actually gives a shit about it.

You're suggesting none of them be held accountable because the two Republicans haven't been.
Apparently it's just okay, regardless.
That is some serious telepathic powers you got there, saying I think none of them should be held accountable because Republicans always get a pass.

So when did moral high ground ever give someone government control outside of a religious text?

You might be surprised at the number of ordinary Dem voters who are deeply concerned about all of this, myself included. It really boils down to the establishment structure of the party not giving a damn, and a lot of Dem voters do find that highly problematic.

Sure seems to be a recurring thing with you whenever people mention Biden's allegations for you to say "But Trump's allegations" as if they excuse Biden's. Don't need telepathic powers to make observations of posts in an online forum.

This country would be much better off if more people were principled like this, I'll give you that.
Rs jumping all over this are just opening themselves up to being called hypocrites down the line. They should just be focusing on the hypocrisy aspect, but they don't know how to play smart politics.

Well I've been saying since these allegations came out that there should be a full investigation, just like how I said there needed to be a full investigation of the Kavanaugh accusation (Not that pitiful hearing he got), but I'm not a Dem, so...
Funny thing though, reporters have been investigating it independently and have had a lot of problems finding actual info, so yeah. It's basically a he said she said argument at this point.

When one side flagrantly cares more about power than morality as shown with the Trump impeachment, holding the Democrats to your lofty standards is just a feelgood posture that the Republicans ignore while carrying on business as usual- which includes obstructing if not undoing progressive agendas. One sided chivalry is a sucker's game.

I hold all people to the "lofty standards" of not sexually harassing or assaulting people, really a shame those are lofty standards but oh well.
I certainly don't feel good since both sides ignore while carrying on business as usual and we get nowhere. Republicans lost my respect a long time ago, Democrats have only managed to do it recently.

You must not have listened to the Anita Hill hearings ? Listen to the Chair of the Senate judiciary committee you can almost come away with a feeling that the chair felt even if true Thomas did no wrong.

Ultimately nobody is going to be held accountable and I feel we should all accept a lot of people in politics are shitty, awful people and even things like this are drawn on partisan lines.

You literally cannot move forward, because it was never an option to begin with.

Maybe Bernie's supporters should've actually gone out and voted for him or something...
