Request on gun laws

Postby Terabithya » Wed Mar 11, 2020 5:49 am

The last issue I faced was about hunting in which I liberalized hunting laws in an effort to liberalize gun laws at the same time. However, passing the law didn't have an effect on weaponization. That is not good because it is obvious that weaponization should have been affected somehow. I once faced another issue (I don't remember much of it anymore) where gun laws should have been liberalized but which too had little effect on them. Terabithya has "restrictive gun laws" from the beginning and still has them because gun-related issues have little to no effect on them. I'm requesting an issue that would allow for the right to keep and bear arms. Thank you and God bless you!

There are plenty of them (i.e. #20, #84, #149, #186, #1149, #1188, #1235, ....), just wait for some to come around to your "leader's desk". Your nation is only around for a few weeks, so have patience, they will arrive.

Well I hope they will really have an effect on weaponization or something because as stated I already had two gun-related issues that didn't do much. I hope the moderators will let Terabithya face one of the issues you mention. I will switch vacation mode for some days so I hope that Terabithya gets a gun-related law possibility before.

Nobody "chooses" which issues you receive, they show up randomly -- unless there are some follow-ups from certain choices you made, or chain-issues. Of course, no nation can receive all issues as there are validity checks to some issues.

Wow, can you imagine if moderators had to assign each issue to each nation manually?

You'd need thousands of moderators, working flat out every day, and they'd HATE all those data-scooping automated nations...

Do you really assume that I think moderators send us every issue? But perhaps they can if they want to rather than letting one randomly.

Eh, I try to never underestimate people's lack of common sense. Glad to hear that's not the case.

But no, no-one is going to assign you an issue on a request basis. That would set a bad precedent.

It would indeed be completely unworkable. For example, I play to max my green stats, so if you were getting gun related issues on request I'd consider it unfair unless I could have environmental issues without having to wait for them, and everyone else trying to achieve a certain outcome would feel similarly. You'd still need hundreds of staff.

I just assumed it was a sentient and sapient Artificial Intelligence that assigned them each day.

Must be some like SAL9000, a rampart AI responsible for all the chaotic options we are given to choose from.
