Abril 8, 4020: The Republic has tracked General Grievous to Utapau! Perhaps this terrible clone war is finally coming to an end, even if we are on the losing side.

But you do list seperatists as an unfavorable faction, granted instead of having some common goal, we could instead be mutually unhappy towards other powers in the post-Empire galaxy. As for an established relationship, well what is effectively the biggest workers' union ever that has members all over can provide ample supplies to a group of anti-slavery Wookiees, and the two organizations could've conducted operations together, and they are also very diverse, so the opposing political opinions of the guys in charge could potentially be ignored. I guess there could have been some cooperation during the days of the Empire. But our characters also have pretty conflicitng ideologies. What do you say?

Ah, I changed my faction towards separatists, the radical kind, after I realized that my lad was to form his own state due to seeing the Republic as a dead state. So, if anything, our overall goals would align. It is likely, as you said, that we do have varying different and the same political opinions. For our past, I think that we would have worked together heavily, given some free room to change and mod our past a bit. We might be good friends or not, but we do know that there are enemies on all sides. Foremost is the Imperial warlords and remnant that prose a threat as they hold onto their armies and fleets. The Republic is more of a political threat then military, but that is not to say that the Republic can't do a invasion to restore the Republic. Next are the Hutts, which is a complex issue that can't be simply bypassed. We stick together in fear of our goals being overturned by outside factions and threats.

I guess I was reading through an older version of the app. So, I guess I'll ad to my app with regards to relationships, that Gobroo's Freedom Fighters have cooperated with the NPP on several occasions, having conducted joint operations and supported their counterpart's efforts. I'll also add that Stebla and Gobroo do know each other, and are somewhat cordial despite conflicting political ideologies (Gobroo's less than favorable views on Trandoshans, as elaborated by Habertia when he put some depth into my app for example, run contrary to the full equality Stebla espouses) due to the presence of a potentially hostile galaxy. All I need is your approval before I add that to my app.
Also one of these days you're going to RP Stebla doing something that'll warrant a 'Proof that Totalists will betray the revolution.'

Ye, that sounds good for our past and relationship. You have my approval.
As for internal NPP politics, Stebla is both trying to keep inter-factional tensions down while undermining them in order to gain power for the Totalists. There's likely a lot of lads that don't like me and will try to push info that goes against me and the likes.

Wait, hold on a sec, your app says the NPP only formed after the fall of the Empire, so instead I will just say that the Freedom Fighters have cooperated with the NPP's precursor organizations. You ok with that?

Well good to know. Do you want to add an established relationship to that? (worked together before, have some formal agreement) or is this simply a sign that we have mutual interests and as such should team up come the IC's launch?

All those who are accepted are welcome to post.
You will see that the opening post consists of two parts: the first part is more descriptive, and will go into some personal issues of the people in the galaxy. This can be about anyone, but will try to show the state of the galaxy at any point. Through the lense of ordinary people, you will see that your actions and policies will have effect.
The second part is 'Galactic Headlines'. This is information that everyone will know, and you are all invited to react in some way, whether by inaction or by taking some kind of action, or by trying to persuade people to your view. For politicians, this might mean making public statements and speeches, while others might want to haggle behind the scenes for their support.
If actions are proposed to the Senate, I will decide how the vote goes based on the current make-up of the Senate. Doing well in elections (or purging your enemies) will give you more power here, as will making deals with friendly factions or making compromises with rival ones. Meanwhile, the Parliament at Corellia will pretend they are relevant too.
The events in the galaxy will, as the RP continues, try to incorporate as many players as possible. Every player will get something that they can involve themselves in, even if the opening post does not immediately provide a window. Don't forget, politics never stops, so you might want to make deals about what you support and what you don't support.
Any questions can be happily thrown in either mine or Harb's direction. Right now, you are invited to post!

Ahh, a Hutt representative! Very interesting, especially since crime (and particularly Hutt crime) will play a big part in politics. Accepted!
Whoo! Figured it wouldn't make sense for the Hutts to have an actual senator, so opted to have her be a lobbyist instead. Could be fun to have some pre-existing political connections with other characters, though - be they centralist, republican, imperial or separatist, Tiasha's not all that guided by ideology as much as results.
