It’s not even unheard of for states to do this. Several states canceled their Democrat primaries in 2012 and 1996. And republicans did it in 2004

Trust me, it's in high schools as well. I just can't say it's all over the US, but from just anecdotal evidence and other stuff, it seems apparent that even if they're not Marxist or socialist, they're generally supportive of Sanders. And if not, then Trump.

My boss was a loyal Buttigieg supporter, now he's voting Sanders. Roommate was team Buttigieg, now he's /w Warren. A little surprised that many of the Buttigieg people I've met are now saying "well, yeah, I still don't wanna vote for Biden."
