OFFICIAL THREAD OF THE 49TH WORLD HIT FESTIVAL
Alshkan, Britonisea & Estogium
WHF NETWORK - OOC THREAD - DRAFT THREAD
20:00 (GBK+0)
For the sixth time in 24 editions, or for the sixth time in 20 participations, Britonisea is hosting the World Hit Festival which would have been something that wasn’t expected back in the days of the WHF14 to WHF25. In Britonisea alone, the amount of people watching the World Hit Festival grew from the days of under 2 million views to now over 13 million tuning in to watch the World Hit Festival, celebrating the success of Britonisea. The nation is expecting a huge audience for the 49th World Hit Festival, it’s biggest audience so far, due to the joint hosting of the World Hit Festival 49 with neighbour Estogium. RVC is looking for its biggest ratings for World Hit Festival as more and more people in ABEN turn and watch the World Hit Festival where ABEN music is popping. At the last World Hit Festival, Britonisea and Estogium occupied the top two positions - a first for ABEN in any international song contest. This edition, both nations have sent the best of what is to offer along with all the participating nations in the run up to BVC’s last overseeing World Hit Festival which has been promised to be huge. With nations participating here understanding that the top 5 will have immunity from the Semi-Finals if the contest exceeds 35 entries for the 50th World Hit Festival, nations are looking forward to seeing the outcome of the 49th World Hit Festival, hoping to win and hopefully host to secure their place in the Grand Final. Vhe Halvenhavlve Arena will be holding upto 15,000 spectators for the 49th edition of the World Hit Festival with - only speaking about the host nations tickets - will be split evenly by Estogians and Britons. It will be a truly ecstatic evening.
The show was about to start, and around twenty seconds before 20:00 Britonish time, the emission begun. The now 11 edition old 16-second World Hit Festival intro began the broadcast (similar to the 2011 Eurovision intro, culminating in the base WHF logo with the Britonish flag inside). The logo was frozen on the screen for around 4 seconds until it hit 20:00. The picture turned black and for World Hit Festival fans around the Multiverse, they would expect us to go into the arena and start the show. For the past two World Hit Festivals that Britonisea had hosted, there were no Opening Acts, with Britonisea opting for VTs and Parade of Nations to fill up the time. With BVC not really being interested in doing an Opening Act, RVC took charge here to bring back an Opening Act for everyone to enjoy. Though first, we had a small VT of the process of Estogium’s and Britonisea’s journey hosting the World Hit Festival.
Opening VTTune: Croatia, Full of Magic
00:00 - As the music started, we had a small montage of people on either side of the Estogian and the Britonish audience doing random things such as putting their skates on to do some ice-skating or fishing. Among these people who were doing a random activity in Estogium and/or Britonisea, we saw faded images of Gigi Vadenbonceour singing her song that won the World Hit Festival 48 before seeing Estogium’s entrant, Zala Marelli also doing her thing on the stage as well. We then heard some members of the VT whistling the tunes of the two songs that placed at the top of the charts last edition before we went on a journey around Alshkan…
00:28 - As the picture of the World Hit Festival 49 logo that will be used during the broadcast of the production was shown on the screen, you could hear the audience in the Halvenhavlve Arena cheering to this. Normally, this would be the part where the commentators from around the world would be speaking over the VT and telling their audience what they are currently watching. After the logo displays on the screen for a few seconds, we tour the city.
00:32 - We start with the Britonish side of Alshkan, which is the more populated side. We go to Alshkan’s main city centre in Britonisea which is as alive as any other city centre - people hustling and bustling through the streets and shops. As the film was shot during the Christmas time, the shots that we saw from this montage were very Christmassy with lights being up everywhere and Christmas hats. During this montage in Britonisea, we saw a few couples (both heterosexual and homosexual) embracing one another showing the unity, acceptance and freedom Britonisea has, especially compared to other nations in the Multiverse.
01:06 - We then moved over to the Estogian side of Alshkan, who were a much more traditional side than the Britonish side. As we moved over to the Estogian side, we saw that there were more hills and trees and quaint villages. For a while, we followed a group of kids on skateboards who skated through their town centre. We then saw close ups of Britonish street food places where a woman gave one of the children on the skateboards a treat. As we moved later on in the montage, there was then a full aerial shot of Alshkan spanning across the Britonish and Estogian border with lights going down and up the boarder - with the border not being physical but being shown through bright lights.
01:50 - At the sound of jingling, out of all those lights that ran upside the border, one of those lights - right in the middle - started to shine the brightest like the brightest star in the sky - that sort of thing. We then zoom into that bright twinkly light and we find that it’s the town centre where the arena is. This town centre is Alshkan’s largest as it is where the two nations meet.
02:17 - We then see fireworks being shot into the air along the waterfront along Alshkan where the Fireworks took place in the nation for New Years Day 2020. As the fireworks shot into the air, we saw the numbers 2020 being made in the air. You could see the audience watch the fireworks display in awe as we focused on the fireworks for not too long. We then went around the city, with multiple events being shown that happened in the run up to the World Hit Festival 49. After a while, we showed shots that were shot only an hour before the show of many people rushing into the Arena from both the Britonish and Estogian side (as there are two entrances to the World Hit Festival 49 arena).
02:35 - We then took a journey through the interior of the arena, with the auidence from inside the arena making a large amount of noise as they noticed that the end of the VT was of a live image of the arena as in the inside of it turned dark. You could hear nothing now except the audience’s cheers were louder than the music...
So come along, so come along,
Gather ‘round, join the fire.
Let’s dance about, let’s sing a tune
Let’s have fun through the night
Tonight’s the night, tonight’s the night
We find who’s won
But we must not, no we must not
Forget to have some fun
As this is just one night
Some more dancing here!
Come on, drink up
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
[Electronic Break]
The night is young
Nothing’s happened
I can’t wait till the end
Oh what happens next? I cannot tell
Oh this is so intense.
Tonight’s the night, tonight’s the night
We find who’s won
But we must not, no we must not
Forget to have some fun
As this is just one night
Come on, drink up
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
Because we’ll be partying till the sunrise
[Electronic Break]
Together, standing right next to each other, the two men made their way down the very long stage. They came from the top of the stage where the LEDs are and walked all the way down. Music was being played as they made their way down the stage to screaming audience. Sometimes, Mehkl Maddox Ajax and Elias Nordin stopped as the walked down the runway and gave hi-fives and handshakes to members of the audience who sat on either side of the runway.
Tonight’s the night, tonight’s the night
We find who’s won
But we must not, no we must not
Forget to have some fun
As this is just one night
After awhile they reached the end of the runway as they waited for the music to finish. As it did, there was a huge applause with the audience cheering as they could see the cameras positioned on the two hosts for the evening.
