  • Synopsis: In 1941 the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, a nationalist guerilla force declared its formation with the goal of establishing an independent Ukraine free of Communist rule. Three years and countless dead later in 1944 the UIA have suffered some of their worst defeats to date in southern Ukraine and the Soviets intend to deliver them another one in the west and in Poland. The objective being the total subjugation of the major highways connecting Poland and Ukraine from nationalist activities and attacks and destroying them both in Eastern Poland and in Ukraine's Galicia region. The story will partially follow the perspective of Junior Lieutenant Tarnovskyy of the 1st Infantry Division, 1st Army of the Polish People's Army and another character to be named in a future post.

Canon Submission & Revision Form

Please use the form below for the submission and/or revision of historical canon. The DATE should be filled out as "Month Day, Year" (January 12, 2018). It is not necessary to fill out AD on years but it is necessary to fill out BC. When writing years in BC it is required to use a comma separating thousands (e.g. 12,000 BC) but this is not done with AD (e.g. 2018). The use of anything other than BC and AD will be replaced with BC and AD. The USERNAME field should be your username on this site. If you are listing multiple users then they are to be listed alphabetically (e.g. Layarteb, The Roman Star Republic). When listing NPCs the format is the nation's short form name and (NPC) following (e.g. Mexico (NPC)). Use as many lines as necessary. Be as specific as you can with dates. For dates in modern times, if it is possible, use the exact date. It is acceptable to use a range of dates. If you wish to denote broader time spans you can also use seasons. For winter, you are to use "Early Winter" if it is January - March or "Late Winter" if it is December. The seasons are Early/Late Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Please been consistent with your naming conventions. Do not use ambiguous references. For example, the Empire of Layarteb is often written as "the Empire." This should not be done as it is ambiguous. • July 3, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] The Margrave Oil Company (MOC) and other Margrave-owned companies sign comprehensive deals with the Unified Arab Sultanate, which is currently undergoing political reorganisation. This brings the UAS into an even closer relationship with the Nanfang Republic.
• August 21, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] The Unified Arab Sultanate formally complete their political reorganisation and become the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They are no longer an absolute monarchy and are now a federation of smaller monarchies. The UAE officially announce their intention to improve relations with Ostafrika while continuing to strengthen relations with the Nanfang Republic.
• August 23, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] President Yang Mingshu of the Nanfang Republic begins consultations with the Republic's friendly nations in regard to a formal defensive alliance. The consultations reveal a genuine desire to proceed with such an idea. The Kingdom of Travancore and the United Arab Emirates prove willing to be in the same alliance as their former 'master' Ostafrika as both nations are assured that the Nanfang Republic will counter any Ostafrikan attempts to reassert their former influence over them. Legal and technical talks continue between the nations involved in the consultation.
• September 20, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] Adewale Makinde, head of the Nigerian syndicate known as the Makinde Clan, meets with the Xuanlong of the Thrashing Dragons syndicate in Singapura. The two agree to increase ties between their organisations and begin plans for joint ventures.
• September 30, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] President Yang officially announces the alliance project to the world and declares that there will be a summit in Cidade Imperial, the capital of the Grande Império do Zaire, in order to hammer out finer details.
• October 8, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] Darui Liao-Margrave and Lysander Margrave are officially divorced after a long period of dispute between the two. Darui returns to being named 'Liao Darui'. The Margrave family suffer a slight loss of reputation as a result. Darui subsequently embarks on a relationship with 'BeBe', the younger brother of the Xuanlong of the Thrashing Dragons, although Darui is unaware of BeBe's organised crime links.
• October 9, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] Marshal Dusit Tangwongsan of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya expresses his desire to see Ayutthaya attend the Cidade Imperial summit in hopes that the kingdom might join the proposed alliance organisation.
• October 21, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika, Layarteb] The Cidade Imperial summit is held in Zaire. Ayutthaya attends as an observer, as does the Empire of Layarteb. Various potential issues are discussed and resolved by the attending national leaders and representatives, paving the way for a continuation of legal and technical talks in order to finalise the alliance treaty.
• October 23, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] The Xuanlong of the Thrashing Dragons meets with his northern counterpart, the Sagacious Devil of the Howling Devil-Tigers. The two come to an amicable understanding regarding the relationship between Liao Darui and BeBe as Darui is the Sagacious Devil's second cousin.
• October 30, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] The Ostafrikan Department of State Security is ordered to terminate operations in soon-to-be-allied African nations, an order which is unappreciated by Direktor Wilhelm Treich. Treich begins plans to have the DSS cooperate with criminal syndicates which would be operating within the proposed alliance's territory.
• November 25, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika, Layarteb] The alliance treaty is signed in the city of Shenzhen. Officially named as the 'Afro-Asian Unity and Cooperation Organisation', the alliance is more popularly known as the 'Shenzhen Pact'. With eleven full members and the Empire of Layarteb as an observer member, the Shenzhen Pact is a formal defensive alliance with aspirations to expand economic and cultural cooperation between its membership.
• November 29, 2019: [Freistaat-Ostafrika] The Xuanlong of the Thrashing Dragons and the Sagacious Devil of the Howling Devil-Tigers meet to discuss family and business affairs. They agree to begin working to build their own alliance within the criminal underworld of the Shenzhen Pact.

Not sure I understand this rule properly so I will ask:

Can I drop my initial claim for Primorsky Krai & add Indonesia [Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali & West Nusa Tenggara]?

Primorsky Krai is 165,900 and I believe that all comes to 156,628

Not sure I understand this rule properly so I will ask:

I think it's a case of being able to change your existing claim by adding to it (or dropping stuff to add stuff to it) one time for free, but if you want to do it multiple times for the same claim block then Lay has to approve it. I'd hazard a guess that approval would probably be easier to get if justification is provided. Admittedly that's just my interpretation.

Anyhoo, I would like to claim the following please:

Slovakia - 49,035km
Cameroon - 475,442km

Total: 916,312km

• Decree IV, Provision 2 has hereby been changed:
  
  • Original: All claims require approval from the moderator(s) of Earth II and the moderator(s) can deny a claim for any reason, though a justification must be provided. A claim thread must be posted within four (4) days of the approval of the claim. Any claim that does not have a claim thread posted within this timeframe is automatically invalidated. All claims that sit idle without a post from the claimant for thirty (30) or more days are automatically invalidated.
  • Revision: All claims require approval from the moderator(s) of Earth II and the moderator(s) can deny a claim for any reason, though a justification must be provided. A claim thread must be posted within four (4) days of the approval of the claim. Any claim that does not have a claim thread posted within this timeframe is automatically invalidated. All claims that sit idle without a post from the claimant for thirty (30) or more days are automatically invalidated unless the claimant applies for an activity waiver. Any claimant may apply for an activity waiver, which will grant the claimant an additional thirty (30) days on the deadline. Additional waivers can be requested but are not guaranteed to be approved.

  • Original: A single block of claims must be completed before a new block of claims can be made. Claims cannot be added to a block unless they are specifically related to that block.
  • Revision: A block of claims is hereby defined as a series of claims made with commonality to one another, whether by geography or story content. New Members can claim only a single block of claims at once before they can claim additional blocks. Full Members can claim up to two blocks of claims at once. Both New Members and Full Members can add to these claim blocks after the initial claim is made, so long as the additions are linked via geography or story content. While single additions can be made without approval - provided they follow established limitations - but further additions are subject to moderator approval.
