ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites! I'm willing to be lenient with the explosion power as long as you don't abuse it. So no killing anyone with it (unless it's the big bad guy right at the end, and then only maybe).

Well well well! I always liked the Mite. Glad he's back. Re-ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites!

Thanks!

Also, one small quirk I forgot to mention; Final Countdown/ Stand's crying could also be weaponised since it cries alot. Perhaps it's either loud or just plain annoying to hear (except for Noelle, since she's used to hearing it.)

Could make a seperate app for a crybaby hero if you want more sassy and less childish disobedience from FC

Let's let the crying be without weaponizing it for now. As for making another app, let's see how this character develops in the IC.

Your characters begin where the Infinites (driving in the Infinitemobile) or the villains (at a car crash scene - their own, trying to recruit a new villain and then chase down a moose) are.
The Clockwork Circus - Welcome to a steampunk RP rife with crime, gangs, beggars, and starting off as the lowest of the low, in the lowest socio-economic place there is.

Gosh, this character took a way different turn from the first application. Regardless, bringing it over. Will probably change it later.

Name: Henry "Hot Air" Hinshaw
Codename: He's trying to make "Mr. Firewall" a thing, but most locals just call him "Blimp Man." (Heck, he'd prefer "Zeppelin" to that, although the name would be slightly erroneous.)
Age: 21 (good ol' drinking age)
Sex: Male
Appearance: He's growing an Old Dutch Beard, but it's just a chin curtain for now...
Biography: Used to be part of the Jefferson Infinites as the scout of the group. Used to have a long-distance girlfriend in the Southern Infinites, before she died...
Powers: His shoulders can adjust to any temperature from 0 to 500 degrees Kelvin without causing damage to himself.

Describe your abilities: He attached hot air balloons to his shoulder blades and so can float above ground for immeasurable amounts of time. He carries a fan with him for propulsion, as well as a number of projectiles (his favorite is the finger rocket, which he reverse engineers on a consistent basis for different effects). Also, he can dig holes. Really well. And sing. On key, but really loudly. He's okay with computers.
Why did you turn to crime: "I used to be a member of the Jefferson Infinites. You know, State of Jefferson, the thing that they got going in Northern Cali- ah, whatever. They all died off through a series of encounters with the regional supervillains. They found out our hideout, and I was the only one who could escape, having hot-air-balloon-shoulders and all. Thankfully, none of the supervillains were equipped with guns. I survived, and the wind was able to carry me away to safety. All our funds were gone, though, and nobody wanted me to advertise for them, and, well, you know, one thing led to another. Thank God the local police are too polite to shoot people, eh?"
Why did you further become a supervillain: "Well, I decided to pack up my belongings (what was left over after the raid) and move to Minnesota. The cold weather means that I could travel higher and float better. I can dig holes with the best of them, and so I made myself a home out in the wilderness of Minnesota. Well sanitized with plumbing, and in public lands, of course. The best part is that there's so much goshdang snow in North/Central Minnesota that the base is practically invisible at all times except the summer, and even then it would take hours if you don't know what to look for."
How do you feel about the Infinites: "Lucky bastards; their supervillains aren't half as strong as the ones we had. They got bright, albeit boring, lives ahead of them. Wish them all the best. Usually."
What's your end goal: "Well, I would like to make a bigger hole, probably next year. Maybe run for mayor? Ah, right, I forgot, I'm a supervillain- WORLD DOMINATION! Actually, though, revenge on my fallen comrades wouldn't be uncalled for."
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: "Blindfold them, show them around my hole-home. I've been aching to play Axis and Allies with someone for a while now. Trust me, if you're not interested in that thing, that's torture enough."
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: "Generally, I'm too far away for them to hear anything I say. I generally don't plan much except for the basic layout, though; everything else is improv. I'm up in the air for a ridiculously long amount of time; I have all the time in the world to plan things out."
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): Rather high pitched, for a guy. Not effeminate, just high-pitched.
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): Loud booming voice, like thunder. Enough to make people open their umbrellas if he's high up enough.
Any lines you won't cross: "I'm not interested in killing any of the Infinites, even though I could be justified in doing so, in a certain sense. We used to be on the same side. Also, I'm very polite whenever I come in contact with people I rob. Civility and honesty are what hold society together, even if you are taking their stuff. I wash my hands on a regular basis, and I say "hello" to the ordinary citizens I pass by."
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: "I just drift around, especially when I don't have my fan to guide me."
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I have already included the character in my post, but I will delete him if the application is rejected. I hope that's satisfactory.

You know what?

On second thought, the twins can be off working as tour guides for this arc.

In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made many people very angry, and has widely been considered a bad move.

Also, I had an idea for a villain that could work as Noelle's nemesis:

Name: Diana Bondi
Codename: "DIA"
Age: Appearance-wise 23, chronologically 133
Sex: Female
Appearance:
Image

Image

Bio: Diana was born in the town of Bologna in Italy around 1886, her father being a famed chef with a natural talent and professional attitude as well as a war veteran, while her mother was a fashion designer. In around 1891, they moved to the United States and settled in Texas, the girl being a notable showoff and thinking highly of herself, thirsting for attention and admiration amongst her peers. However, in 1910, she was strucken with an odd condition from a mosquito that caused her to burn in sunlight and made her eyes slightly more sensitive, but she eventually grew fangs, night vision, but unfortunately, no other powers. She was essentially a lame version of a vampire.

She spend the rest of her days with this curse, forced to live a nocturnal lifestyle, but one day, about 10 years and 4 weeks ago, she found a cool looking necklace. Deciding to buy it and try it on, it then left her with a scar on her neck, but also a significant other... a Stand she called "The Time". She thought of herself as a being who could conquer the world, a super-spirit clad in gold with a sword in hand by her side, with nothing to stop her... but The Time's very own sin of sloth.

Powers: Like Noelle, she has a Stand of her own, dubbed "The Time". This Stand may or may not be slightly more powerful; it is armed with a sword sharp enough to cut through steel, and its' main ability is to be able to stop time at will. However, while The Time is more stronger than Noelle's power, it's even more harder to control. While Final Countdown is comparable to an annoying little sister who does the opposite of what you say, the Time is more of a lazy roommate who sits on the couch, watches soap operas, eats pizza and is more keen on socialising then fighting, having even less of a will than FC. The Time is happy to chat, often talking of celebrity gossip, rock music, classic art and delicious food, though its' will to fight is severely lacking; infact, it usually abuses its' ability to stop time in order to take a nap. Luckily for non-Stand Users, Stand users outside her 20 foot radius or anyone she isn't currently touching, The Time's timestop seems to end instantly, and if Diana were to move within it, to someone outside these prerequisites, it's as if she just teleported.

On top of her stand, however, she retains keen night vision equivalent to spec ops. Oh, and those fangs could totally poke an eye out, but unlike Noelle, Diana is adverse to physical fighting, so one punch, and she bursts into tears. Despite being a vampire as well, she is a vegan, and only relies on juices from fruits and vegetables, and a syrum of what she calls "haemoglobin supplement."
RP sample:

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
Describe your abilities: "Ah, I'm glad you asked. You see, I, DIA, have two of the greatest gifts God could ever wish upon a woman, my spectacular condition of which makes me practically unable to age, and my mighty stand, the Time!"
*snoring can be heard in the distance before a snort erupts* "Huh, wha...? Oh, we're doing the interview? Oh... well, y'know, I am pretty strong, I guess. I have this cool sword that, like, makes Jon Snow look like a slapboxer. Oh, and I can stop time, too. But yeah... I'm not going to fight anytime soon. That'd require effort. Plus, not really fair stopping time to kill someone, is it?"
Why did you turn to crime: "Well, you know, when you're immortal, you eventually come to realise that most things in life are pointless, and living by the rules of society are one of them. I, DIA, became a connoisseur in the art of evil from my youth, stealing several grapes from the shops and EATING THEM WITHOUT PAYING!"
"Wow. Big bad girl. You're truly evil. I can't believe you'd really steal grapes. No dignity- *burp*"
Why did you further become a supervillain: when I, DIA, finally realised The Time, that point was when I, DIA, decided to turn to my goal of becoming the most powerful being in the world! All of the world shall be crushed under my foot!"
"Quentin Tarantino would love that, wouldn't he? Heh. I dunno, though, you already do have a whole lotta Instagram followers. That's conquering the world enough in this generation."
How do you feel about the Infinites: "The Infinites? As in, those fools who aren't even worthy of being able to handle cashier jobs? The lot of fools, they are! I, DIA, laugh in their meekly faces! Laugh with me, The Time!"
Ha. Haha. Uh... you really wanna follow through with this?"
What's your end goal: "To eliminate the Infinites and superhero cause, and proceed to make my way to overthrow the United States goverment so that I, DIA, shall be entitled 'Princess Diana I'... which definitely does not have any connotation whatsoever to a Princess Diana that may or may not have existed at one point in a different country... And also eliminate that other pesky Stand User, Noelle Noe-son, and her devilish stand!"
"Who with the whatnow? Also, Princess Diana? You sure you don't wanna go "Queen Diana"? It's honestly a much more powerful sounding title- Actually wait... "Empress Diana"!
"...Very good, The Time. You're actually useful for once. Maybe next, you can write my coronation speech."
"Whatever."
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: "Well... honestly, I, DIA, am not sure. I, DIA, can't turn them into a vampire because unfortunately that'd require my own blood and I, DIA... don't really like that sort of thing. Perhaps tickle-torture them for wereabouts or, er... restrain them and force them to watch a marathon of "Friends" with me. Ugh, that's too nice... I, DIA, don't know. But if I, DIA, get my hands on Noelle, I'm definitely ridding her of her stand. Somehow. I, DIA, shall find out eventually."
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: "Well... sometimes I, DIA, rehearse, but I, DIA, improvise alot as well. You know, there's a small technique to these sorts of things. Monologuing really strains the throat alot, so to keep it in check, I, DIA, often carry a spare bottle of water and do vocal warm-ups when I wake up. Though, be careful... that whole "I, DIA" thing that I, DIA, have with my speech is basically a forced habit from all the monologues. I, DIA, really need to get that looked at.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): "AHA! ALL GOING TO PLAN!" "VANO, VANO, VANOOOO! (Translation: USELESS! USELESS! USELESS!)"
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): "ERRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" "THIS CANNOT BE! I AM DIANA BONDIIII!" "*loud crying*
Any lines you won't cross: I, DIA, refuse to participate in physical fights. My stand is all powerful; it shall take my damage for me. (Note; she doesn't know she takes the same damage her stand does.) Also, I, DIA, am a self-proclaimed vegan, and thus, my dietary conditions are invested in fruit and haemoglobin supplement.
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: I, DIA, already have a nemesis... NOELLE NOE-SON! That despicable little immature girl considers herself so important that she even says I'm "not worth her time". HOW DARE SHE REGARD I, DIA, AS MERE TRASH! ERRRIIIIIIIIII-"

Well, simply, it's more of an AOE that puts everything on pause for her and The Time, including other people. She can't trigger this, only the Time can, and she abuses it to take naps or do comedic interactions that don't involve hurting anyone." If anyone else is in the Time's range when it happens, they don't see what happens in the time stop, since while the effect goes for half an hour in The Time's range (unless she starts it again early), in reality, it basically starts and stops (e.g. if you decided to stop time and eat all the cookies on someone's plate and Start time again, they wouldn't be frozen and see you eat the cookies, all that'd happen is that they'd see the cookies suddenly disappear.

Noelle, however, can see Diana's timestop as she's frozen in it, but can't actually do anything... or can she?

In combat, it'd be amazing, but there's basically no chance in character of that happening. Same rules with Noelle; amazing power, unwilling user.

So it's basically like a pause button, but there is no chance of rewind, correct?

I only ask because there is an Infinite Rock that may also come into play, the Time Rock. And if you remember from the first post of the IC, this Infinite Rock may have a significant bearing on what happens later in this RP.

If anyone else is in the Time's range when it happens, they don't see what happens in the time stop, since while the effect goes for half an hour in The Time's range (unless she starts it again early), in reality, it basically starts and stops (e.g. if you decided to stop time and eat all the cookies on someone's plate and Start time again, they wouldn't be frozen and see you eat the cookies, all that'd happen is that they'd see the cookies suddenly disappear.

Pretty much. The Time's stop can be overridden by the Time Rock, however, and it can't preform any functions other than stop and start.

Ok. With your explanations, I can appreciate the limits of this character. And I do see the potential for funny, so that's always a plus! Diana (and her Time stand) is (are?) ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites!

I'll update the roster later, maybe tomorrow or something. As well as post. I'm kind of drained right now to write creatively...

Well, I think I've been soul-searching for too long. Time to come back, if I'm still welcome.

If there is no in-universe reason why every generation of Minnesota Infinites has turned into tour guides, I think I'm going to have to make one up myself.

I like that idea. A virus, eh? That could work...

The tour guide idea is a long running gag of the Infinites. It's never really been explained why this happened - only that it does. But hey. Midichlorians exist in the Star Wars universe, so why not a virus here.

I have three ways we could go;
A. DIA stops time and tries to bring the moose back
B. The Mite tries to lure it into his world
C. DIA's time stop fails and they just chase after it.

Also, on another useless note, I've actually thought up background characters and past stand users which I probably won't app for, and may or may not be sort of a funny genderbent slice-of-life clones of more characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. They'll probably just get mentions.

Also, DIA has a new motive, but it's a bit cryptic since it'll be explained in her diary.

I thought it was great. Man. You had me thinking Blank State was going to the meteor, and I began trying to think of how the plot was going to unfold, and then you went to cow-tipping instead. Classic.

Hey guys. Just your friendly neighborhood OP here. I have a request. There is a button at the top in gray color that is a pretty impressive button, and I would like to suggest that you use it. It is called, "Spoiler." How it works is like this. You highlight all the text you want spoilered, and then you press spoiler. If you want the spoiler to say something about what's inside, then when it comes up with the brackets with spoiler in the middle, you add an = sign after the word spoiler inside the brackets and then type what you want without punctuation. Punctuation makes it not work for some reason. Especially do that on my long posts. There were like three of you that just quoted me without spoilering it. It would help if you guys would, especially since half my posts are like newspapers. Try spoilering. Thanks.
