The girl fainted.

"Heavens, are you okay?"

As this was a local kitsune and not, in fact, a Japanese aircraft carrier, she was intensely worried about Ausburne fainting.

"I don't know," replied Kiri. "It sounded like she thought you were someone else. She's one of those ship-people, so maybe she mistook you for another one she fought?"

Kiri's mother was knelt on the ground next to Ausburne. "Hmm... in any case, it seems she just fainted, so she should wake up soon. Could you go get your sister? And hurry back if you can. It might be best that I'm not the first person she sees when she wakes."

Kiri flew off toward the field to fetch her sister, leaving her mother and Ausburne alone.

The girl woke up.

USS Charles Ausburne: "So you aren't Kaga?"

Soon, a catgirl ran in, and tripped over... well.... nothing, and slammed on the floor.

IJN Yamashiro: "Waaaaaah....! Oh, a kitsune! I'm Yamashiro, a Shrine Maiden from the Sakura Empire! I was called here over.... your yurēi daughter?"

[Nu Alaska]

Kiri flew off toward the field to fetch her sister, leaving her mother and Ausburne alone.

"No, my dear. I am Sakura, and I am a Messenger of Inari Ōkami. I assure you you have nothing to fear from me."

She raised an eyebrow when the other person mentioned her daughter.

"Really now? If someone was frightened by her, I can assure you that she means no harm. Sometimes people get the wrong idea."

The girl woke up.

Yūrei are here because they have strong emotions or unfinished business tying them here, and when those emotions are resolved they are able to pass on to afterlife. In Kiri's case I believe she is here because she wishes to protect her sister while she grows up. Even if what you say is true, it wouldn't be helpful to have Kiri worry about Hell for the rest of her time on Earth."

She turned to face the window.

"Of course, compared to you it is likely I know very little. I would have to consult with Inari directly - or rather, as directly as possible, via the leader of my kind."

"You know, I've heard of someone who probably knows more about spirits and souls than either of us. A real expert in the area, in more ways than one. A psychologist too, in case Kiri remains so upset... it might be difficult to get her to come all the way up here, but I'll try."

She turned to face Kiri. "Well? Do you wish to look into this?"

The spirit girl was very stressed out by this point. "I... I... I want to go home and not think about this right now!" She flew outside toward Sakura's car, covering her face with her hands. Ren followed her.

I am well aware that I have not served in my position nearly as long as you have, but I find it difficult to believe I would not have come across this basic piece of knowledge by now."

She seemed deep in thought for a time.

The other robot held him back
“HE’S DEAD MAN LET IT GO” This one spoke in a more feminine voice.
