That's pretty much my point. While it's still quite an anglocentric bastardization of Spanish, it's at least pronounceable and looks like language.

I haven't watched all the ContraPoints videos yet, but after watching The Left, I'm 99% certain that I'd be Justine. Especially the part where she complains that the centrist reporter "is embarrassing her in front of her Antifa friends" and asks her to brunch later. I have a lot of both centrist and far-left friends, so that's really, really close to my own personal experience.

Tabby is really nice though too. I'm already a huge Justine/Tabby shipper.

Yeah. I really doubt that Contra even has enough characters to even come close to approximating us. Even if it did, I wouldn't want to be so familiar with Contra that I know them well enough. I'm a hypocrite though, because I like DoctorRandomercam and he's sort of got the same thing as Contra with their rambly, discursive content. Except Contra's a progressive Socdem, Randomer's an MRA, and Randomer doesn't have the pretentious neon aesthetic.

The definitional ambiguity is clear even in your post. The defining feature of "truscum" was originally wanting to exclude people who don't have gender dysphoria from being members of the trans community. In your post you're using it generically as anyone "intolerant of enbies". Immediately we hit a problem because some non-binary people *do* have dysphoria.

And so the definitional creep begins.

Let's go deeper. When does disagreement with behaviour become "intolerance" or "exclusion"? Is someone "truscum" for criticising a particular non-binary person who insists on a neopronoun and kicks up a fuss about someone using "they" evidence of someone being "truscum", even if the accused accepts that non-binary people are a thing and part of the trans community? That seems perverse and a substantial slip from the original definition, but I've seen accusations of truscummery for this (full disclosure, towards me )

Let's go even further. How about someone who doesn't support pronoun go arounds because they'd likely make things worse for pre-transition people who aren't ready to out themselves but now are accused of bigotry of they don't publicly misgender themselves? Not even an individual non-binary person is criticised there, its an honest disagreement on agenda, but accusations of truscummery won't be far away on trans twitter.

And so very quickly you've slipped from the word meaning people trying to deny that non-dysphoric people are trans to an innocent disagreement over political priorities being sufficient grounds to call someone a bigot.

Where next? Getting everyone at trans gatherings to swear on a copy of Gender Trouble to defend gender deconstructionism, coupled with a damnatio memoriae on recalcitrants? I'm being facetious, of course, but there is certainly a tendency for some radical activists to try to shut down legitimate conversation by bringing out the scum slur inappropriately to shut people up who simply disagree with their views but have never suggested for a moment that the person they disagree with isn't trans.

Indeed. Moreover, it plays into the hands of those who want to outlaw or defund hormonal intervention, surgery etc.

Following the logic of those who throw the term "truscum" around willy-nilly, absent of any real evidence of desire to deny the "transness" of the non-dysphoric, towards anyone who supports policies they think might not serve the interests of non-binary people, this clear hostility to the dysphoric agenda surely necessitates a new snarl word to describe such reactionary-enabling views‽
