Minneapolis (I didnt feel like coming up with names)
Son: Hey dad what's going on?
Dad: Me and Mom have some really bad news for you. We had to close down the farm and give all the animals to a sanctuary. We could no longer afford it due to the tariffs and other factors.
Son: im really sorry to hear that dad.
Dad: I am too. I know we have disparaged your city a lot and we dont agree much politically but we are seriously thinking of moving down there as we have nothing up here anymore and also might vote with you next year. Might you know of any apartments for rent?
Son: In my building no but there is a senior development that's being built that I know of. Downtown might be a little expensive for you but I can talk to my relator fried and perhaps she can help you out.
Mom: Thank you very much. At least we will be closer to you now.
Son: Yeah you will despite what you've said in the past I think you'll really like it here.

What self respecting farmer would just give animals away? They’d sell that shit. Also tariffs aren’t a bad thing at all. When used correctly they can be a great benefit

Maybe they had compassion and wanted them them to live out the rest of their lives being treated like royalty? Forgive me I dont know much about farming
And the point was the tariffs haven't helped and many are losing many and some even losing their farms.

And you really think that economic hardship is going to push people to support everything they think is wrong? Come on...

Farm animals are still living creatures not something that should merely be though of as cash.

Then that’s why they failed as farmers. Because they are fucking idiots. A farmer who is down on his luck isn’t going to give anything away. They’ll sell that shit.Farm animals are still living creatures not something that should merely be though of as cash.
Lumen what is the purpose of farm animals? It’s not to keep them around forever, it’s to make money off them through either slaughter or collecting something from them.
Forgive me I dont know much about farming
No shit. I wouldn’t expect a kid from Yonkers to know much about farming. And the point was the tariffs haven't helped and many are losing many and some even losing their farms.
And free trade has? All free trade has done is enrich the capitalist class at the expense of the workers while sending jobs to poorer nations who don’t protect their workers.
Free trade is inherently anti-worker, but then again you’d probably support it because of that

Tbh you don't defeat a personality cult with facts. You defeat it by waiting until the object of the personality cult dies then hopefully some saner leader goes a denouncing the previous one. Or public discontent reaches such levels that the supreme leader gets lynched a la Ceaucescu. <.>
