The world would never be the same when the first nuclear bomb was detonated in 1952 by The Federal Socialist Republic of Novus Mundus (FSRNM). It marked a turning point for the way warfare would be conducted in the coming years amongst the nations of the world. Espionage and nuclear proliferation became the only topic on the minds of men of power. Conventional warfare between superpowers would quickly be replaced by smaller proxy wars that pit ideological opponents against each other in deadly guerilla campaigns. The FSRNM, under the leadership of Luís Carlos Prestes and the FSG (Federative Socialist Guard) immediately began a campaign to strengthen its power over South America by weaponizing the fear that the bomb struck within the hearts of man, woman, and child alike. The year is now 1958 and The FSRNM has concrete control over South America with its only opposition being The Imperial State of Sol and The Tupian Confederacy of which occupies the southernmost portion of the continent. North America has likewise fallen under a hegemony of its own as rumblings of conflict in Europe begin to sling around the earth. The world is entering an unknown era whilst superpowers prepare to charge one another like batteries.
