Dreamplanet: having already been unofficially warned by a Moderator about this barely three and a half hours ago, again you are going beyond the usual line of what we qualify as robust debate in this particular thread. I'll remind you that this is a PG-13 forum and the occasional f-bomb can be put up with, however the tone of your posts is reading, to me, as unnecessarily antagonistic given the collaborative nature of this particular bit of game-within-a-game that we have had going here for fifteen years. You may feel perfectly reasonable and calm, but you're not coming across as such.

1) I don't participate in WCC events these days.
2) I have hosted multiple World Cups and Olympic Games. Trust me that I know what I'm talking about.

And you admitting to not participating in WCC events nowadays but yet decided to cash in just affirms that you're here white-knighting someone or something just got your knickers in a twist.
So as someone that actually participates in WCC events these days, trust me that I know what I'm talking about.

Also two mods told you to drop it and you haven't, think about that.

This attack on Liventia, a respected NS Sports participant with over a decade's experience on these forums is completely unwarranted.
You are neither winning friends nor influencing people. I think logging off and taking a deep breath before posting again would likely be the best course of action.

I really enjoy RPs where different users bounce off each other, so while I'll admit I wasn't following the Baker Park/Banija arc super closely, the amount of back and forth that went on there was very impressive (especially with Banija also caught up in hosting). The Holy Empire's "beach hunk calendar" was fun for me and hopefully several others to respond to, and I appreciate Sargossa taking CommentaryBot and running with it.

Holy Empire’s beach calendar was great, I love how they had confusion over the sport being played, that was hilarious to read. I missed the Baker Park & Banija RPs so I’ll have to go back and have a read, it’s always impressive when two countries manage to collaborate like that! On that note, I got to make a few new friends this round, specifically Sajnur; we were both competitive rivals but were also able to bond over trying to defeat Tornado Queendom!
As totally innocuous piece of trivia, I also learnt a bit about Japan’s postage system whilst figuring out how to address a letter to Damukuni!

Alright, thank you to all who took part in this World Cup, it was a hell of a tournament that was an absolute blast to host. I hope to see y'all for World Cup 84. Also, special thanks go to Banija for co-hosting and being a great partner in running this edition of the tournament.
Post-WC83 SRS rankings update is now available
Key: 7 points for winning the World Cup. 6 points for second place. 5 points for third place. 4 points for fourth place. 3 points for elimination in the quarterfinals. 2 points for elimination in the second round. 1 point for elimination in the group stage.
The nation with the most points not yet in the World Cup Nations' Hall of Fame following World Cup 83 is Equestria, an active nation with 26 points from 12 finals appearances. As such, Equestria joins the Hall of Fame as the WC83 inductee.
As always, if you catch any potential errors, please shoot me a TG or PM so I can fix them.
