The Story:
It's 31st of July, 2023, 16:50 hours UTC, or ten minutes before midnight in East Asia. Ten minutes before the August First anniversary of the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China. A naval task force of its navy is out on the prowl on the waves of the East China Sea. Relations with its perennial enemies the Republic of China and the Empire of Fusō have sunken to historical lows, unprecedented in the past eight or so decades. An ultimatum has been delivered to Kyōtō demanding the removal of Fusōnese forces from the islets of Senkaku in the middle of the East China Sea or face a declaration of war by midnight. The Fusō Government, in the middle of international anti-piracy exercises, has refused to comply. It's now midnight, war in East Asia has come.

The OOC Story:
In the eternal boredom of Ostmark and countless hours spent on their freeware naval simulator a scenario was born. A scenario mostly derived from the manga series Carrier Ibuki written by the author of things like Chinmoku no Kantai (Silent Service). This is the scenario that I decided, due to my boredom to take to NS.
An nota bene: This is still a military exercise and no actual war will happen... unless I - the umpire makes PRC do so.

The Rules:
  1. I am OP and Chief Umpire, and my word is law.
    1. Somebody is Deputy OP/Umpire.
  2. There isn't a minimum posting requirement, however in courtesy to your fellow roleplayers a decent paragraph should be expected.
  3. You already know what level of eternal shame you would bring upon your ancestors should you godmod so I shan't mention it further. :3
  4. No nukes, no WMD's.
  5. This is an military exercise done with computers and friendly forces. I would be very surprised if somebody dies (although it's the high seas so anything can theoretically happen). If you want to however, do ask first.
  6. Have fun, and stay frosty!

Important Shenanigans:

Content of Tables:

1. The OOC (You're reading this, baka!)
2. IC

Aw... that's cute.
Anyway. I will deploy, after a bit of talking between the two of us, the following forces of the SDF-Navy:
    2nd Frigate Squadron:
SDFS Lodan Lir, SDFS Ladra and SDFS Gavida.
    1st Submarine Squadron:
SDFS F-16 Siorc, SDFS F-17 Scadán, SDFS F-18 Trosc.
    Oiler Group 1:
3 Gabhdán-class Fast Combat Replenishment Ships, names yet to be decided.
    Nead Foiche Group:
      SDFS Nead Foiche (flag).
Tacaí Air Group: A number of Foiche-UCAVs, on loan from SDFS Tacaí.
      SDFS Tiúilip and SDFS Fearbán.
      SDFAS Launceston.
Flag will be carried by SDFS Nead Foiche, Commodore Liam Coinnigh of the Tribe of Tipperary will command the entire force. Commander of the submarines is Captain Alaina Tumadóir of the Tribe of Wicklow aboard SDFS F-16 Siorc.
Any questions so far?
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.

Welp... with thanks to Wolfenium:
Image
IC ist hier! I had you all teleported to HMAS Canberra to avoid the inevitable and arduous and unnecessary posts about helicopters and flying and landing and greeting and shit. <.>
My intentions for the next hour or so are to have combat air and anti-submarine patrols airborne, and to put everything on war-footing. <.>
My intentions as the PRC'ians are to get everything ready for an airborne landing operation on Tarama, engage Fusonese fighter and maritime patrol cordons and land special forces for sabotage via submarines.

Bump for attention. I'm going to play as two nations from my world this time, Minroz and my Not!Indonesia. I'm just in the mood to diversify things a bit.

I need to inquire if there is any limits of naval vessels? I am thinking of small carrier battle-group of each nations.

I doubt my land forces will be needed since this is supposedly a naval operations. And I don't think both Minroz and my Not!Indonesia needs to bring their ground troops in the first place, aside from marine forces. :3

Tactically we are going to see PLAAF airborne/PLANMC landings in at least Tarama and Senkaku. I doubt we are going to need anything further than 2 Fuso Army divisions and 2 SNLF brigades to counter this. <.>
As said Min my intentions for this rp is not for Fuso to be carried by anybody. That would be seriously dishonorabru. We are probably good on surface vessels tho but you could add some things to the anti-piracy task force (the more the merrier I suppose? *thinking*). <.>

EDIT a whole year later since I'm OP and all...: We have 9 Blue submarines vs 12+3 Red counting those immediately available for action and not stuck in port waiting to be bombed. You could bring submarines Min but... let me think about this thoroughly when morning arrives.
