I guess I’d be a centrist. Moderately libertarian, basically on the middle left-right. Something like -5.75. Problem is every socialist here is pro-state or something.
Oi, that sounds too much like “prostate”.

What are you talking about, most people I'd consider socialist here are anarchistic or libertarian socialists.

The only thing good about the ivory towers is the commissar Jamal, and Cletus will inevitably cause them to collapse. Such is the nature of utopian intellectuals who are good at running a revolution, but not so much at making sure grocery stores reopen, people head back to work, and the country doesn't devolve into anarchy.

Which is why any Revolution headed by an organised vanguard will have such plans and preparations in place. The bolsheviks certainly pulled it off, turning Russia from agrarian feudalism to a scientific and industrial powerhouse. Gnash your teeth about muh holodomor as much as you want, long term (the next world war notwithstanding) the country was made a force to be reckoned with.
So if planned and prepared for correctly, and allowed to implement said things then there's no reason why the markets can't open and people denied useful work for as long as it takes to rebuild, repair and reorganise.

Soviet industrialization really took off after the war. Stalin's early efforts at industrialization, while somewhat successful, did not turn Russia into an industrial powerhouse, as it was still behind many other European countries.

In fairness, they did have to start from basically 0.

Probably because they want their own echo chamber. Mods don't really go out of their way to ban leftists.
