It has been thirty-six hours since Sanguanan troops and tank brigades have forced their way over the Colombian border. While Sanguanan frigates and corvettes have formed up along Colombia’s southern coast, the Colombian navy has already gathered its naval ranks while the Colombian army is readying to march south towards the defensive perimeter the Sanguanan invading force has set just north of the Cauca and Putumayo oil fields.
Many however would not label this perimeter defensive, but offensive. The question is; is it just the oil fields Sanguana wants? While Sanguana’s closed news media rule holds true, reporters have met with Colombian officials, namely General Raul Ortega who has given us this input;
“Without revealing strategy or logistics I will tell you this,” he said ,”as of now the enemy position seems to be defensive. They’re men are digging in from what we can see. My personal opinion doesn’t matter, but from a tactical point, it seems for now they just want to hold the oil fields. We fully intend to take them back. Our government will try negotiation, if that fails, it will be war.”Sanguanan Chinese model tanks roll across Colombian fields.
These words put fear into the hearts of the many. Relations between Colombia and the Sanguanan regime under President Lauro Garabine have been abysmal for years now. And many fear this violation of the border and seizing of Colombian land good be the breaking point that leads to war. While many opinions and speculations are being made across the international community, reactions across South America have varied. Peru has openly condemned Garabine and has promised to support Colombia if things go bad. Meanwhile Sanguanan allies China and North Korea have yet to make any appearance on this incident.
Red-Sanguanan Armor Brigades
Olive-Sanguanan Infantry Companies
Blue-Sanguana Naval Units (Three Fleets)
As Colombian forces prepare for countermeasures, intel states that additional Sanguanan units are to be dispatched. With shots having already been fired and three wounded to count; hopefully this tinderbox situation can be diffused without bloodshed.
