Get the app up and we'll see based on that, I'm not exactly familiar with any of those characters so I don't know what a combination would look like.

Bullseye basically never misses anything he throws. Punisher is a psychotic veteran with an arsenal of weapons and a van. War Machine is a man inside a robot suit built for combat.

Tag. Will not be joining this as i am in enough rps and planning a reboot of one of mine at the moment and do not want to over extend myself.

Regardless of my unfortunate inability to take part this still seems interesting so i want to keep an eye on it as it were.

CHARACTER FILE

Landry Parker

Name: Landry Parker
Alias: N/A
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Female
Age: 21

Build: 5'11", 142 lbs, athletic build

Powers: Landry possesses the ability to create and manipulate a black and stiff liquid known as biomass, which is classified as a living organism and can be reshaped into various forms as well as replicating the forms of nonorganic materials that Landry has absorbed with the biomass, allowing her to break their compositions down over time and add them to the arsenal of materials she can create using the biomass. She can manipulate things constructed from the biomass within one hundred meters of herself and can also attach it to her own body to use as armor or weapons, the effectiveness of this depending on the chemical composition that she chooses for the biomass. Stronger compositions require more energy expended than weaker ones.

Weaknesses: Landry's power requires physical energy to use and also requires a high caloric intake to keep this energy up. That is to say, she can't simply fill the area in the hundred meters around her with constructs, as it would tire her out quickly and leave her unable to do anything. If she exerts herself too much, she can find herself passing out. Weaker materials and compositions require less energy while making ones that can withstand bullets or more require more energy. At the upper limits of what she can do without pushing herself too far, she can create a barrier that can withstand an attack from a small missile, but that would leave her unable to do anything else following the barrier's destruction until her energy is regained. If Landry hasn't eaten sufficiently, her progress recharging her own energy will take longer. Additionally, it's worth noting that her lower end constructs aren't hard to break through for most weaponry.

Equipment: Upon entering the exclusion zone, Landry adopted a loadout of an M16A4 rifle and a combat knife, not having the available funds to get anything too fancy. Because of her power, she also frequently carries a backpack that can store reserves of food for use in the field.

Allegiance: Dreamchasers Collection Company
Nationality: American
Hometown: Fresno, California
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Landry is generally easily excitable and fiery, and has something of a chip on her shoulder owing to her treatment from the Hero League and the general hardships that she's experienced. While she is unstable, however, she's a genuine friend to those that she chooses.
Motivation: To find someplace that's right for herself.

Biography: Things could have been very different for Landry Parker. Growing up in the bad parts of Fresno, she never had things easy, but she had a chance to turn things around because of her power when she was invited to join the Hero League Academy Southern California. Or, one of the two places in the United States where young men and women were molded into the heroes of tomorrow. This academy, run by the Hero League itself, should have been a big chance for her to move up in the world. To become a well known hero, to fight for justice, to move out of the bad spot she was in and the dead end city she lived in- But she never ended up getting quite that far. Thing is, Landry Parker's ability was... Deemed too violent by the Hero League. She spent two years in their academy but continually clashed with the staff over the usage of her power, with them wanting her to make herself look good on cameras as much as possible. Which meant no tearing targets apart with the intimidating black constructs that grew from her body, or shredding them with materials such as glass, which she could create.

These academies were known for being strict, as is the Hero League in general, and she ended up leaving after her second year because of it, eventually believing that it would be impossible for her to do her job properly if she remained with the Hero League. She had to leave her friend Sidney Emmet Knox, who she had met at the academy, but began looking into security work and eventually traveled eastbound to New York City to look for a job, using the last of the money she had and sleeping in her car for a week or two before meeting Dina Vasina, who connected her with European clients. The two of them ended up doing various jobs in Europe for a year... Until something happened back home in the States.

The appearance of anomalous events in Tennessee and the government reaction - forming an exclusion zone to contain the sudden strange events, led to the two of them heading back to the USA and establishing a company which would interact with the new economy that had grown out of this... Crisis. One based on collecting "anomalies" from this zone for various bidders. It's dangerous work, but work that was fitting for Landry. After all, no one here would tell her that she's too violent.

Dina Vasina

Name: Dina Vasina
Alias: N/A
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Female
Age: 38

Build: 5'3, 124 lbs

Powers: N/A

Weaknesses: Dina is a regular human. Not in the sense of "this person is super powerful but they're still human so they can die," but in the sense of not being a metahuman at all. She doesn't have the advantage of powers to help her, either offensively or defensively, and has to rely on herself... But with her stature being small and her physicals not being the greatest (even if she is above average in tasks which require athleticism), she must rely entirely on her good technical skills such as shooting, positioning, and strategizing, as well as superior knowledge of equipment and weapons platforms.

Equipment: Traveling lightly, the only thing that Dina carries with her at all times is an AR-15 rifle - used instead of the AK-103 because ammunition is more readily available in the USA and in the zone in particular.

Allegiance: Dreamchasers Collection Corp.
Nationality: Russian
Hometown: Rostov-On-Don
Sexuality: Straight

Personality:
Motivation: To secure a future for herself
Biography: Dina Vasina was born into conflict. The collapse of the USSR happened when she was still young. The ensuing economic problems of the 90s were something that was quite familiar to her, as well as conflicts such as the First Chechen War (her hometown was marginally close to where the conflicts in the Caucasus were fought), and her own family was hit hard by the dip in the Russian economy that came with Yeltsin's economic reforms. It was a tough time to grow up in and Dina looked to the military as something to give her an anchor to cling onto in life. After all, her family didn't exactly have the funds to send her to college, and she never saw herself as settling for a job that was just... Average. Which was something that would benefit her later in her career. She enlisted at 18 and in the mid 2000s ended up participating in the Second Chechen War and the counterinsurgency operations that followed it.

Of course, being a female soldier in the Russian military isn't the easiest thing in the world, with the country having rather traditional views. However, slowly, Dina was able to win respect with brave performances in the field, and for being known as a crack shot despite not being as physically strong as some of the larger male soldiers. This shooting skill was what led her to rack up a number of kills in the field, eventually earning her a chance to transfer to the Special Forces to continue her role in the counterinsurgency operations, even as the conventional military began to pull out of Ichkeria and Dagestan. When conflict broke out in the late 2010s around the region of Crimea, Dina was one of the ones to travel to Eastern Ukraine to help Russia's allies through an undeclared war.

She was stationed in Crimea until 2020 and acted as an adviser in Syria from 2020 until 2023, when she retired from the Russian military and went into PMC work, something which could grant her more funds to build a future beyond fighting with for herself. And only a couple of years later, she ended up with the chance of a lifetime, a chance to form a company to take jobs in and around the dangerous 'Exclusion Zone' in the USA where anomalous events were suddenly taking place with more and more frequency... In 2025, she officially formed her company along with her business partner of one year, Landry Parker, before departing to Tennessee to begin her work.

CHARACTER FILE
The following file has been approved for viewing by SELECT EYES.

Sidney Emmett Knox

Name: Sidney Emmett Knox
Appearance:
Image

Gender: F
Age: 23

Build: 180cm
68kg

Powers: Sidney has an uncanny ability to manipulate magnetism to her advantage, giving her the capability to manipulate metallic objects up to eight times her body weight. Advantages to her ability allow a vast array of manipulative capacities in regards to firearms and nearby objects up to 250 metres around herself. Her ability also provides a general perceptive sense towards threats like mines and trip-wires.

Weaknesses: Sidney's abilities are not applicable to non-magnetic metals. Socially, she has a noticeable lack of ability to handle an excess of responsibilities.

Equipment: 1x Colt AR-15
1x Glock 17
1x Nailgun
1x Bowie Knife

Allegiance: Dreamchasers Collection Corp
Nationality: American
Hometown: San Diego, CA, US
Sexuality: ?

Personality: Tends to go between extroverted and introverted often depending on mood and circumstance. Generally eccentric, lots of random, odd fixations.
Motivation: After her friend, Landry Parker, ventures into the Zone, Knox inevitably follows out of concern and a motive for profit...
Biography: From childhood, Knox found she had a bizarre ability to move metals. It would be this unusual ability that led her to join the Hero League Academy Southern California in Los Angeles, although she dropped out due to a lack of interest. From there, she largely drifted about the country, eventually settling in Texarkana and jumping between odd jobs.

Her arrival into the Zone is a curious case: due to her eccentric tendencies, she made few close acquaintances, a certain Landry Parker being one of them... and a mysterious phonecall serves to flip her world upside down and send her on a journey into the mysterious, anomalous reaches of Tennessee on a quest for friendship and profit...

I think I can handle the rest of the app, maybe when I have some free time, but thought I'd put down the Pros and Cons on the abilities here to begin with, to get some feed back ahead of time in a sort of TL:DR format:

The Curse of Heraclitus - "Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." - The ability to be a masterful warfighter -- Ability sub-set --
  • Battlefield Perception - To posses a deeper and intuitive understanding of any "battlefield" as to be knowledgeable on angles of attack, defensive positions, lines of fire, sniper locations, flow of the battlefield and maneuver, ambush locations, etc.
  • Death Blow - To posses the deeper understanding of combat with a foe, as to be knowledgeable in the preferable method(s) of eliminating the threat of enemy combatants; understanding the means of which are likely to be most successful; knowing the capabilities and/or likely actions of a combatant in relation to oneself
  • Specialist - To posses a relative understanding of the operation and capabilities of various military equipment ranging from handguns to artillery pieces and their impact upon the field of battle
  • Tactician - To posses an intuitive understanding of the operation of small unit formations in both controlled and field environments
  • Infanteer - To posses a physique, strength, and endurance above that of a normal person as well as handling skills of weapons surpassing that of average understanding [Note: this is a natural ability as a result of training and experience, but is listed here regardless]
    Cons:
    • Defcon I - The abilities known as "The Curse of Heraclitus" are permanent in their activation and cannot simply be disabled, meaning it's effects are active at all times, regardless of the location of the possessor of the Curse
    • Without a Home - The ability to understand the inner workings of a battlefield are invaluable in combat operations, but outside are largely useless. Never the less, the possessor of the Curse's mind is constant filled with the thoughts of ambush points, defensive locations, sniper nests. Coupled with actually combat experiences, it has lead to extreme cases of distraction and paranoia in daily life and no progress towards integration back into society
    • Sitting Duck - Similar to the side effects of "Battlefield Perception", "Death Blow" causes a similar effect, with the possessor of the "Curse" constantly seeing nothing but an enemy in the eyes of everyone he meets. The moment he lays eyes on a person, or is simply around him, his mind if flooded with possible outcomes of combat, making interaction with others extremely difficult and trying
    • Tunnel Vision - Occasionally it has been noted that the "Curse of Heraclitus" has a tendency to cause the possessor to snap, resulting in a complete lack of Inhibition, and the ability fully taking over and leading to the true power being released. However, this has been noted to result in a full disregard for anything, especially the self-preservation of the possessor, leading to "One-Man-Army" situations where the possessor is unable to distinguish between friend and foe, resulting in accidents in the past, though most have been recorded after his return to civilian life.
    • Flesh & Bone - At the end of the day, the possessor of "The Curse of Heraclitus" is little more than a normal human, and the ability provides little in the means of defense differing from that of a normal human, meaning that the possessor is still extremely vulnerable; even more so if they are to "snap" as a lack of consciousness and self-preservation can be deadly.
    • Fog of War - Though "The Curse of Heraclitus" grants immense knowledge in relation to warfighting and the battlefield, it is not an absolute. Though it can manifest knowledge, it is Wisdom more than fact. It can not reveal the exact location of enemies, nor allow the possessor to see through walls or across extraordinary distances. Though it may manifest intuitive "Gut" feelings in certain situations of danger, to make use of the ability is dependent on the "natural" intuition, experience, and skill of the possessor

CHARACTER FILE

The following file has been approved for viewing by SELECT EYES.

Clinton "Javelin" Duke

Name: Clinton Duke

Alias: Javelin

Appearance:

Gender: M

Age: 29

Build: Tall (6' 5"), 64 Kgs.

Powers:
▪︎Master Marksman: Javelin has an ability to throw practically any object with the precise strength and speed into his target with about ninety percent and more accuracy. Though this ability is only half precisely superhuman, being the result of thought, calculation and awareness, he is able to use this ability even when in blindfold, or other means that hamper his senses.

▪︎Cybernetics: A war veteran who lost half his leg in a battle, Javelin countered this weakness by investing heavily into cybernetics technology, even building an artificial leg for himself. Being the owner of an industrial company, he used his fortune and technology to create a cybernetic leg, arm, and strapper that is connected to his spine and fueled by a small reactor, granting him the ability to run, punch, and jump over normal humans at peak condition.

▪︎Master Assassin: His military training and subsequent vigilante activity had given him the insights of every human pressure point, nerve, joints, main blood channels, and vulnerable spots. Using this knowledge, and his adept ability at blade-fighting, Javelin is a very deadly assassin in his own right.

▪︎Weapons Proficiency: Given his tenure as a Staff Sergeant in the Army, Javelinis an expert of all kinds of armaments - Western, preferably.

▪︎Dirty: Javelin is not one to believe the concept of fair fighting, ever since he experienced a post-traumatic stress disorder after watching his partners massacred in Iraq. When he saw someone that he can't fight openly, he simply escapes, only to kill the person later using any means. He is familiar with poisons and all kinds of dangerous drugs, and often used those kinds of items to assassinate high-ranking businessman or officials. He saw killing thugs as necessary and often done it without remorse.

Weaknesses:
▪︎Paralysis: Javelin relied on his cybernetic enhancements to keep his body working. He lost a leg in war, and his spine scratched by armor sharpnel; there is little that could keep him living if the cybernetics are pulled out or destroyed, as it is connected to his nerve systems.

▪︎Close Combat: As his powers relied on ranged weapons and systems, he had a drawback on close-quarters combat. While he is proficient on using a knife or a blade, he cannot risk damaging his cybernetics equipment while unarmed.

▪︎Recharge: Every technology needs to be recharged back, and so is his cybernetics system. With a pocket reactor, it should be easy - if not for the fuel it requires. Cylindrical cell batteries made of a palladium and carbon casing cannot be found everywhere, and it powerer the electromagnetic reactor he needed to keep the cybernetics working, if he doesn't want to die out with metal legs and spines stuck.

Equipment:
    Weapons:
▪︎Colt M4A1 SOPMOD: Reliable, practical, select-fire automatic carbine, enhanced with selected accesories such as thermal/holo sight  and ACOG/Canted scope.

▪︎M107 LRSR: .50 caliber rapid-fire sniper rifle, reliable for exterminating from distant range.

▪︎MP5SD-N2: US Navy variant of the world-famous German submachine gun. With retractable stock and integrated supressor, the weapon brought silent and deadly kills in the dark.

▪︎USMC Ka-Bar: The original pocket combat knife of the Marine Corps.

▪︎M67 Grenade: A simple frag grenade.

▪︎Beretta M9A1: Light, useful 9mm pistol.
    Others:
▪︎Cybernetics Enhancement: A series of metal legs, arm attachments, and even repulsors replacing his original leg and a releasable part strapped into his arm, and a spinal support that linked it directly with his nerves. The cybernetic enhancements gave him the ability to jump, punch, and run faster than the average people.

▪︎Repulsors: Repulsors are what made the cybernetics useful in the first place. It granted him somewhat a super-strength; allowed him to jump higher, run faster, and punch harder than the average human. The repulsors, when fitted with projectiles, can also release a blast powered by electromagnets, hence the name "Javelin".

▪︎Strapper and Blade: Other than an arsenal of weapons of his picking, which he used one at a time, he always brought a set of long blades, javelins, and a strapper to hold them everytime in vigilante activity. The blades each had a battery that when activated, released an electric shock as well as the pain of a blade stuck. The blades can be recalled as they are fitted with sensors that is linked with his cybernetic arm.

▪︎Wealth: He is the CEO of a massive industrial and armaments company, a machine and weapons supplier corporation. He also had stocks in the United States' major corporation, making money a short matter ro4 him.

Allegiance: Team Aegis

Nationality: American (I am IRL-ly not American so may need help here)

Hometown: Piedmont, CA

Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Duke is a cautious and calculated man, and some may think him overly cold in conversations. He value getting the job done by all means possible, even if it takes unorthodox and dirty approaches. Being a businessman later in his life, Duke values money; a slightly renewable important resource that kept his life and powers running.

Motivation:  Duke is a man driven by hatred and vengeance, which prompted him into the vigilante world in the first place.

Biography: Clinton Duke was born in Piedmont, California, to a wealthy family. His father, Edmond Duke, was an industrial magnate, the owner of a company specializing in machineworks, electrical appliances, and until recently, arms manufacturing. His mother was a daughter of one of the Bay's financial magnates, making the family particularly wealthy even in the already upper class neighborhood. He was raised in an open, but not so much, state of neighborhood. He didn't get the whole aspect of Bay Area then, the income disparity, the poor peoples, even the sometimes corrupt government. Life was good for Clinton at first - spending time in the lavish neighborhood estate, accompanying and tutored by his father at business, and taking his Mercedes-Benz everywhere once he learned to drive. But his life changed when one of his father's prominent rivals, syndicates from the industrial black market, decided to took revenge after his father reclaimed Duke Industries' pieces of technology that got into the mobs' hands. Their assassins killed his mother. Edmond Duke, mourning, began to implement a more closed-off life, oftentimes locking himself on his study, driving his son estranged. Clinton left his lavish activities away, instead focusing for a scholarship; he started college at 17 and graduated with an MBA from Berkeley at 20. While the corporation's position as one of the United States' industrial suppliers are maintained, the Duke family is anything but well. Tensions between Clinton and his father was high after his mother's death, and he decided to leave his father's offer of a place in Duke Industries and joined the military instead, contrary to his father's wishes and potentially damaging the corporation's future, as he was an only child.

He left for Fort Benning at the age of 20, after resigning off the corporation. Clinton was not much of a military man then; he was tall, but not of heavy bulit, however, he was already adept at close and knife fighting before. It was at the combat training he discovered his "powers"; he never had any chance to test marksmanship before. He passed all the shooting targets with ease, including the pop-up targets even nearly a mile away, scoring perfection for every training. However, none of his family are present in his Army graduation, being prohibited by his father. The Army sergeants discovered his ability and enlisted him advanced training, being promoted into a corporal instead of specialist in less than two years. He served tours of duty in Iraq and is noted for his accomplishments in battle; head-shotting most of the insurgents in particular. Promoted into the rank of staff-sergeant after four years enlisting, he began to take part in more intense operation, such as being a spearhead of an invasion group to retake an insurgent stronghold. His extremely precise marksmanship always helped, not just with firearms and explosives, but with items in the field as well; knives, stones, even pieces of shrapnel. Unfortunately for him, it is at this point that his military career ended, after years of command recommendation and promotions.

It was a day in the field; he was leading a nine-man squad through a desert village with a company of Strykers following close behind. He drove a Humvee through the barren road, uncommon for a squad leader. His first fireteam was attacked from above, and he placed the car in front of a building, making a stand. He picked off the M240 and started shooting at the insurgents, shouting orders for a pincer movement through the roofs. Several of the privates was fairly new, and some of them closely watched him gunning the insurgents in the head and feet instead of following the order. As all squad leaders responded, he was mad; screaming for them to follow their Sergeants and continue with the movement. But by the time they closed in and regrouped with the fireteams, it was too late. He had saw a man firing RPG at first, ducked himself and pulling his soldiers with him. They made a run to the fireteam, a short run but one that felt like a lifetime, and then the rocket struck.

He saw a blinding red explosion directly in front of him, and rubble flying all around. It was no mere RPG; he identified the weapon, an anti-tank FGM-148 rocket, better known as Javelin. When he awoke from the explosion, the insurgents were nowhere to be found; they thought he and his team was dead. But he was very fortunate - or unfortunate, instead - to be alive, and he regretted the moment he opened his eyes. The bodies of his squad - his friends - lay lifeless on the rubble, only him being alive. It was a gruesome sight, moreso being the fact that some of them he'd known since graduated off the bootcamp. Then he saw his own leg. It was a lump of meat and bone and blood, mashed together with pieces of shrapnel, and he was sure that some of it burned. He felt nothing for a second, however, an agonizing pain shot instantly from whatever speck of nerve remained intact from that carnage. He felt something stuck in his back, too - it was a convenient, coincidental arrival of a rescue team that saved him from being fully limp and dying. Clinton was transferred home at once he finished the proper surgeries; it was the first time in nearly five years he'd seen his father. Edmond Duke looked a century older since Clinton last met him, and far more wiser, perhaps. His return to Piedmont had been celebrated greatly; a war veteran serving his country, quickly promoted in a young age, and accomplished many feats in the field is no small thing. His leg and spine was re-fitted with enhanced cybernetics that allowed him to experience normal life once again. As a sign of reconciliation, his father offered him the same position from since he joined the Army, first being a research and development department head - which he excelled and found solace in - and then as a major shareholder at the board of governors. Clinton was a particularly intellectual man - he completed his college grade quickly - and his father took point in preparing him to inherit Duke Industries. He spent time with the company board longer than his father did, and he kept the tab on all manipulative and scheming directors all the time. Things are running normally and Clinton began gradually finishing his PTSD therapy, only to have the stress peaking again, this time nearly driving him insane.

His father was shot. One of the shareholders conspired with the black market syndicate - mainly because the shareholder failed to get a trademark right and increased dividend portions. He received the news while away in a business meeting; he quietly resigned and returned to San Francisco at once. When he saw his father's lifeless body lying serene, something snapped in him - the rage, the desperate feeling, the urge of him stabbing and slitting the murderer's throat all at once - something he can barely contain from insanity, all the while maintaining a calm and collected temper from the outside. He inherited Duke Industries and scheduled his board meetings and inspections as usual - while at night , he focused on his new project. A set cybernetics attachments, electromagnetic-powered, fitted with repulsors and blasts - a weapon in its own right. He combined his original spine platform with the new powered cybernetics and tested it - granting him the strengths more than peak human. Driven for revenge, Clinton collected his weapons, and installed a protective mask at his face, and went on down in the streets, starting a life of vigilantism at night. He took down the shareholder and the syndicate's assassins one by one, hunting them relentlessly while maintaining his secret identity. His trademark weapon - an electric shock blade - became a symbol of fear to the criminals. He took the Javelin and the bladed weapon to honor his fallen comrades in the Army, and to instill the mark at the city. As a result, the crime rate dropped hard; here and there, people walk by groups at night, the name of Javelin feared.

And then he entered Team Aegis.

Sarderistan - I am just a player here and not an OP. But I am American. I will just say that everything looks like it fits, other than the fact that nobody in the USA weighs themselves using kg.s. Convert to pounds and that's more American.
The Clockwork Circus - Welcome to a steampunk RP rife with crime, gangs, beggars, and starting off as the lowest of the low, in the lowest socio-economic place there is.

It says what to do in the code itself, put the image link in between the in the app.

Not part of the rp but hope this helps.

So long as you can effectively RP them. Several people are already manning multiple Heroes as far as I can tell

Yes, you can have multiple characters, and in the same thread. I'd stick to two or three at most though.

Sard, everything seems fine although some of those are more skills than powers but in the absence of a dedicated skills section that's probably the best place to put them. Only real issue is he's a vigilante according to the app and Team Aegis aren't vigilantes, they're professional heroes.

UNC, it seems fine, although some of the cons might be problematic for interacting with other characters given the heavily team-based focus of the two open sides of the RP.

I think that's everything, shout if I missed a question or app or if either of you have anything else to say Forest/Durm.

He can act perfectly fine if the situation is "militarily" structured, such as an operation. His experience, training, and ability will kick in and you'll truly see an "ideal" soldier so to speak. The problem is all he can do is fight more or less. Anything besides that is useless. He can't be a diplomat, spy, humanitarian, or savoir to anyone. He can only truly act natural when he's in combat. Outside of it, he's little more than the shell of man; a ghost lost in the world.

I've played a similar character before, and if you're set on it then you're set on it, it just makes non-combat interactions difficult although how important those are does depend on if he's on the Gen Next or Aegis side of things.

I suppose asking questions helps too. Battle sense and the like can work but you can't write anything IC that you aren't aware of OOC, so you'll have much of a better time if you ask for deeper details without rushing to post with only the surface level info.

Eh, like a I mentioned before, it wasn't a perfect idea. Only throwing it against the wall to see if it sticks, so to speak
