Hey man, I can't say that I blame people who want to bash babies into the ground. Just those who do it for religious reasons.

And even if it didn’t the god of the Old Testament was distinctly tribalistic, ordering some rules on slavery for Jewish men while ordering different ones for non Jews. And then there is the blatant sexism and absolutely disgusting laws about rape and working on the Sabbeth.

I've read it, and the Bible doesn't encourage genocide. Even the Old Testament isn't that bad.
Uh... yes it did. What do you think was happening when god killed all the first born, or when he ordered the Israelites to kill an entire group, including all the children.

I was halfway through a long post listing my favorite hateful bible verses, but I was worried I was getting off topic.

The first was to defend his chosen people, and the second was war.Kernen wrote:

Here's an explanation of that verse.

The psalm is talking about Babylon and those people were mean to the Israelites. I don't know why people have such a problem with the South Shore. One of my father's cousins had a summer home there, it was a weird and wonderful place to a small child.

god is all powerful, he had no need to kill the first born, particularly since many would have been infants and so no threat to the Jews. What he did was still a genicide. The nazis would claim the same thing about being at war with the Jews. War does not justify genocide. It is interesting that you basically admitted to the genocide though.

That actually sounds fantastic, as much a Catholic as I am. But I do not think hotels would bother with the extra money. Then again, they do spend all that on bibles so it must not be too pricey

That it's poetic violence and hate doesn't make it less than, y'know, hate. There's also the great ones about stoning homosexual men, allowing women to remain bound in slavery if they don't please their male masters, and a lot of killing unbelievers because how dare they?
Christianity treats transgender and homosexual people as second class citizens, and often treat women as badly. Its plenty hateful. My loved ones have scars, actual and poetical, from Biblicaly-generated hated.

They do not spend it on bibles. The Bible’s are donated to the hotels.

The New Testament replaced some aspects of the law in the Old Testament, including the killing and all of that. I'm really sorry for Christians who believe that the Bible allows hatred. Those people misunderstand Christianity.

And then one day you look in the mirror and you realize that you ain't you anymore. You're just another monster, and thanks to your actions, someone else will eventually become as warped and twisted as you. Never forget that the best of us are just the best of a bad lot. Being at the top of a pile of feces doesn't make you anything but shit like the rest. Never forget that.
