Those are things I've considered, too, especially when it comes to recruiting. However, those who are against having party threads are mainly worried about autopruning and having multiple threads related to the NS Parliament strewn across the forums, the latter of which may run afoul of the forum mods. Discord also has an in-browser version that may work with your computer, but it has its own problems. If the NSP admins ultimately decide against having party threads and you wouldn't be able to get Discord to work, you may have to use NS telegrams, which would be very inconvenient.Nova Anglicana wrote:Okay, I just wonder about recruitment, etc if party activity is entirely private. Not to mention I'm working with a bit of an older computer and there is no guarantee I would be able to access Discord.Vedastia wrote:We're debating if we should have party threads at all, either if we should have party threads or if party activity should be confined to private spaces like Discord servers or private Discord DMs.

This time it's actually organized left to right, let me know if you think your party is improperly placed or I've miscounted.

Purple: Social Democratic Party
Brown: Mountain Party
Pink: Republic
Dark Green: Agricultural Alliance Party
Green: The Greens
Light Green: Centre-Progressive
Grey: Independents
Light Blue: Social Liberal Party/The Radicals
Yellow: Liberal Alliance
Blue: National People's Party
Orange: Sankta Hilda All-Patriots' Congress
Black: National Social Front
Some discussion:
A few major parties appear to be surfacing, primarily the NPP on the right, the PLP on the left, and SLP:R in the liberal center, though credit to Greens for clearing a healthy space for themselves in the environmentalist center-left. There are still 12 parties to 21 parliamentarians, so the ratio is still massive. One issue parties, or parties with quite similar mindsets, might want to think about approaching eachother for merger deals, to cement a stronger position together.
Currently, 11 MPs is required for a majority. Some theoretical coalitions might include:
Right-Leaning Coalition:
NSF-SHAPC-NPP-LA-SLP:R-CP = 11
Left-Leaning Coalition:
PLP-SDP-MP-R-AAP-GR-CP-IND = 11

So far, I don't think that's been determined. The right-wing would likely make some concessions for green policies if it meant confidence and supply.

And while we're opening potential coalition talks, C-P is well positioned to back a government from anywhere on the political spectrum. I'll be working on legislative goals soon for us, so we have something to take into negotiations.
