Not to mention in some cases worshiping on gods means you're on one of the other's shit list. People like to talk shit about the Abrahamic God, but He's pretty tame compared to the majority of pagan gods whom the majority of which seem to be either batshit insane or unrepentantly evil.
So yeah, I'll stick with monotheism thanks.

That cuts both ways, huge parts of the Bible are hilarious if you're not a follower of the religion.

The Biblical God is actually a father figure, the Pagan gods seem like soap opera characters, it’s like me worshipping a Game of Thrones character

How do you know you're worshipping the right deities anyway? It's either pantheism or atheism. Why going halfway? The Multiversal Species Alliance wrote:Hello all, what are y’alls thoughts on polytheism vs. monotheism?
I personally find polytheism a better fit for me because it helps me to better connect with nature and accept that I am a part of the natural order rather than somehow above it, seeing that I was raised Christian with the whole human dominionism aspect informing my view of nature.

But no matter how you slice it with the existence of such beings,if you accept their involvement in the creation of the universe, there would have to be one that existed "first" or before all of the others and brought them into being, relegating the others to being lesser gods. That's why I find polytheism very unalluring, because ultimately you either have one God who is a real God, and the others being petty "gods" or you have gods who are just aspects of nature, and there's no reason to actually suppose that they're greater than the nature they're aspects of.

Just look at all the times Hera threw a hissy fit because Zeus knocked up some random mortal in Greek mythology.
Plus all the other ridiculous issues the gods had with each other.
