The Westernizing countries that I mentioned are not very fond of the Soviet Union apart from the elderly.
Ukraine, with the exception of the Stalin period, was much better off under Soviet power, and until the revolution in 2014, support for Soviet power remained higher than in Russia. There is also a significant amount of people in the Baltics who wish Soviet power was back. And hell, Georgia is a third world country, where massive portions of the populace pine for the days of Stalin.
