Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has gone into labour.

It follows weeks of speculation about when Meghan, 37, might give birth - but no details have been given about where she is having her baby.

Rhiannon Mills, Sky's Royal correspondent said: "It was in the early hours of this morning when the Duchess went into labour and the Duke was by her side."

The pregnancy was announced in October, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their first major overseas tour of Australia and New Zealand, and they were expecting the baby to arrive in the spring.

Cerinda made a good point. You'll see people in love with this baby and wondering about it, but then you see children suffering in the UK and all around the world and we look the other way.

Brits be obsessed with the royals. And people like to pretend bad things dont happen a lot so fawning over a new royal babe is preferable to hide from things they might not want to see. Its a good distraction for them.

I find that very sad. People want to ignore the bad things in this world and celebrate a new being being put into this world. But it is a good thing that this child will most likely get the help and love that millions others want, but will never get
