Honestly, I can edit any image of anyone on Facebook to say a timestamp in it. We need like, the person holding a picture with the date and time on it to prove they're a real person.

I see your point, but every picture I've seen people post seem amateurish and authentic. In many cases people have posted multiple pictures of themselves, not just one. Why would they have so many pictures of regular, everyday people on hand if it weren't pictures of themselves? Requiring every nominee to take a new timestamped photo would probably knock out quite a few of the entrants.

I couldn't find an appropriate "welcome to the internet" image macro, but there are people with thousands of pictures of girls they saved off of facebook or girls that someone else saved off of facebook in their favorite fap folder. For shits and giggles I'll post a bunch of pictures on them while some other guy worships me and posts how attractive I am and the lot of the internet does so to.

I don't get how requiring every nominee to take a timestamped photo would knock out a few entrants. Every laptop sold these days, even netbooks, include a webcam and we all have cameraphones or digital cameras with the ability to do it. It's insurance to let us know they're authentic.

Now, while my monitor does have a built-in webcam, it requires another cable which I do not have. and we all have cameraphones My phone's "camera" is shitty beyond belief, and I also posses no way of transferring them to my computer anyways. or digital cameras Nope, don't have one. with the ability to do it My shitty phone also doesn't even timestamp.. It's insurance to let us know they're authentic.

So, that requirement would, in fact, knock me out, unless I go out and borrow someone else's camera, and I'm not even one of those backwards, technophobes who lives ten years in the past. I just simply have had no use for a camera for anything.
