It's "offensive touching" by definition, especially since a non-harmful liquid was involved and not physical bodily contact. Some states charge that seperately, some put it as the absolute lowest form of simple assault. Missouri is obviously the latter.
You want to call it something without it sounding like more than it is, call it "offensive touching". If you don't care how it sounds, call it assault.
That's ridiculous. It's ridiculous for you to say spraying someone with liquid specifically because you dislike them and would like to make them uncomfortable is anything less than hostile.
