Which is more expensive to deliver than traditional energy sources and is unreliable. Solar and wind is rumored to have made tons of progress, but its not there yet. If our batteries became good enough for storing electricity long term, renewables can be implemented right away on a much larger scale. But not so long as the best there is is lithium-ion.

It’s supported in Russia and China, a Communist US would be a death knell ideologically and to capitalist “trade”.

It would be a catastrophe to capitalist trade but what about the US itself if it becomes the new global icon of communism, would it be able to support itself without its capitalist allies?

Saudi Arabia for example exports lots of oil to the US in exchange for weapons. The United States does not produce enough oil for itself. It is comparable to Europe but Europe under the other hand has cheap Russian gas.

I think we’d better work on it rather than whine about it.

It has the largest military and the global proletariat on it’s side. China would have no ideological recourse for capitalism.

Doctors are not payed the same amount everywhere.

How does that answer the question? And how does simple reform now account for the vast amounts of specialization and education it takes to become a doctor which is part of the reason they are so expensive? I don't think doctors are going to take at all kindly to suddenly making as much money (or hardly more than) in their hard earned and highly skilled profession as, say, a toll booth operator that has a GED.

In what way does the United States have the allegiance of all of the working class (or according to your definition, basically anyone that works period) across the globe?

They require the support of their underlings and the military etc

That's easy, just look at how many Americans vehemently support Republicans and fight against their interests like their lives depend on it. Or how many Europeans vote for neo-nazis and basically demand to have their civil rights taken away.

You might want to train more of them like Cuba does. If you would prefer not to study things you could always make laundry detergent. Up to you. We could always choose to pay them more.

Cappuccina wrote:How, exactly, is it you envision AI bringing about socialism or communism? I'm truly interested.

I think the idea is that AI will start to replace labour and become more and more productive. Such a system could lead to falling prices, due to increases in productivity and hence supply. If AI became productive enough we could see a situation approaching post-scarcity. If there is no scarcity of goods then communism is one of the possible outcomes, in fact arguably the only positive outcome. The only other possibility would come about if the distribution of ownership of AI was highly concentrated and, despite the fact that there is no scarcity, all goods become controlled by this elite resulting in a nightmare scenario where few have jobs or can even afford basic necessities.

It would take around 2.3 seconds for an AI to determine that communism is at the same time the worst kind of government and the Most effective diet

IKEA. I can barely put together one of their lampshades without an emotional support shark.

Swedes don’t count. I’m telling you, IKEA is secretly a torture apparatus set up by the Swedish government to mind control the world by forcing them to construct furniture.
