If OP allows it, there's a good possibility of a much earlier Livonian Crusade (North Baltic Crusade).

The intent is to have Pope Urban II call for a Crusade to help Byzantium and take Jerusalem. I also currently plan to have no Anti-Pope at this time.

Yes, and yes, to both. That land is theirs, but it's also restricted from play. I might highlight the area with a yellow outline just to say that it belongs to them, but isn't just playable area.

Since the date of the RP is almost here, now might be a good time to ask what kind of things should be included in our starting posts. Been a while since I've done any nation RP, and have never done any during this time period. I already know that the main focus of the RP is going to be the nations and not necessarily the leaders and characters of the nation, but I can't really think of anything to write about other than what my leader is doing.

If anyone's got any advice for some good first post material, I'd gladly take it. The most I can think of is going across the countryside and mentioning what's happening to several different kinds of people (I.e. the farmers, merchants, nobles, etc.).

just remember to describe what your government is doing and not who is in your government.

That would be very appreciated. For other RP's I've been, I've always included a summary of info at the end of my posts so those who don't have time to read every participants entry can still keep up in the RP, and I encourage people to do the same. In fact, I wonder why this process isn't more widespread.
