I've recently gotten into listening to audiobooks, a natural progression from listening to podcasts for me, and the narration is just so so so well done, it made the reading feel like a radio drama. A dramatic part of the book just came and went and I could feel my anger and sadness rise with the death of a character. It's so well done! I'd recommend audiobooks to people who feel like they don't have the time to sit down and read, since you can listen to audiobooks anywhere you can put on your earphones!

I have no problems with boiling blood, however, when I drink a lot of caffeine or sugar I can really feel my blood circulation "rushing" (i.e. speeding up)

sometimes when I'm scared, my blood "chills" as well and seems to turn a bit cold

I see...

Well a simple overall tip is that you can approximate the probabilities of winning a battle by adding up all the offence points against all the defence points involved in a battle.

So for instance, if 3 inf + 1 fighter are attacking 1 tank and 1 inf (then its 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 against 3 + 2... "6" against "5" so it favours the attackers. This can help with deciding whether or not do launch Decisive Battles (involving massive stacks of 10+ units on both sides).

However, at the end of the day, the dice does what the dice does so :)

...

I remember that after many many games the Axis started to win most games.

I have this crazy Japanese strategy that involves building 2-3 factories on the Asian mainland and then just spamming 6-9 tanks every single turn to rush Russia down. If Germany played defensively while pressuring, Russia did not have enough soldiers to stop this. Even with the "expensive" tank losses from the rush, I could take Russia down because I had nearly twice the economic production to weather casualties.

Do NOT recommend this to the Japanese player though (or else the game will turn very brutal and A historical).

...

Are you going to go against Germany or Japan first as USA?

Wow uh thanks for the tips. But I think I will go for Japan first. I’m thinking of having the Russians sort of tie them up in the North while the Brits keep the Germans busy. Then I attack Japan from the south and pincer them. And then I believe your able to move troops through your allies territory so I will send a good portion of men into the western front but I will send the rest through Russia to the Eastern front and hen crush Germany from two sides.

What do you think?

It can work but a lot of patience and calculation is required.

Basically whoever blows up the other person’s main navy wins (usually due to a misstep by one side). Make sure to count every single Japanese air and sea units at all times... watch out for those sneaky airplanes with their extended range from carriers.

You may have to spend 2-4 turns doing nothing but building warships if Japan plays safe and keeps his giant fleet in the Home islands sea zone.

Japan starts out with a TON of stuff (6 fighters, 1 bomber, 2 battleships, 2 carriers, 1 destroyer, 1 sub... that’s almost 40 attack points worth of tonnage).

They might lose up to 1/3 of those units in unlucky/not well executed round 1 attacks against all the scattered Allied targets which will make your job a bit easier.

Your main target should be Borneo and East Indies. Grab it, build a factory on one or both, and Japan is done. Realistically you need 3-5 turns of naval buildup before you can even leave the western port (not the most engaging gameplay but if you sail out before you’re ready and get blown up by the IJN... gg)

If Japan also starts spamming warships to keep their lead in the Navy then you have to sit and build longer but it’s really good news for Russia because less Japanese soldiers will be invading them.

Don’t build battleships (it’s bad value), stick to carriers and destroyers. If Japan spams submarines then make them too (otherwise surface ships are fine).

Don’t attack the IJN, move around (threaten/take Borneo/East Infes) and make them attack you instead. If they don’t dare then you grab and “win.” If they do, your fighters defend at 4.

...

The main risk is that Germany will kill Russia but it depends on who gains advantage in Europe
