Country Name: People' Republic of Japan

Head of State: Marasuka Okubo

Population: ~100 million people

Location: Japan

History: The history of Japan had changed, when the country had industrialized and became the Empire of Japan - having attempted to gain power and establish themselves as a regional power in Asia. While having great success against the Chinese and colonial powers in the Pacific - they ran afoul when they attacked Pearl Harbor bringing America into the Second World War.

Unlike the Germans, whom had surrendered in 1944 - the Japanese kept on fighting. Pulling the Soviet Union sooner onto the fields of their colonial dominion and allowing the Americans to push back the Imperial Navy and Army from all fronts. Still this rapid collapse, only emboldened the Japanese - as either side was seen as end to the Empire and the Emperor. When the Americans had bombed Hiroshima with a nuclear bomb - the Imperial War Cabinet and Imperial Family, were afraid that the Americans might drop a second bomb on Tokyo. Having warned the Japanese of more bombing unless they surrendered completely.

To prevent this, they relocated to Nagasaki - which was unfortunately, struck by the second nuclear bomb on Japan. In one blow, completely cutting off the political and military leadership of the nation. This void eventually being filled by the Japanese Communist Party - with assistance from the Soviet Union, whom had occupied Korea and were able to send supplies and arms to the communist rebels. Whom stormed the Imperial Palace and eliminated the remaining loyalists.

Thus, the People' Republic of Japan was declared and called for an immediate cease-fire - happily handing over many Generals, officers and businessmen whom supported the Empire' ambition over to the Allies' Tribunal. Following this, the Communist Party of Japan received both industrial and economic aid from the Soviet Union. Allowing them to recover and turn over their society into a more socialist system that was a mix of Marxist-Leninism and more traditional culture at that. Although, following the start of the Cold War - they have re-militarized, under the banner of Western Aggression and 'justice for Hiroshima and Nagasaki'.

3. No cursing..... within reason.
4. Stay in the realm of realism.
5. No unjustified war. This means that you must state your wargoal as well as having a reason in your declaration of war.
6. Consider landscapes/geography and logistics.

About 2. - I think 10% might be TOO much of a high number. I mean, the Soviet Union with around 200-300 million men - maintained around 2-5 million men in arms at that during the Cold War. While in World War 2 they barely went over - 10 million. Plus that was with heavy conscription and industrial output.

Perhaps between 1 - 3% of population?

History: The same as real France (until 1945). Then the PCF (communist party in France) claimed that the resistance was, mostly, communist (which is true). They were rising in the polls (which is also true) and the1946 legislative election won by the Communist party (as in reality) gave, this time, the power to communists (that was not true IRL).
Then, Maurice Thorez went on like in 1936 (with the "Front Populaire", a leftist union). The corporates have been nationalised and no longer exists ; the salaries are roughly the same between engineers and workers.
But here, the communists became the leaders with votes instead of revolution ; thats why autoritarianism in USSR isn't approved by French communists. Gulags are massively blamed by PCF, and France is not completely aligned with USSR.

It depends. I meant to put at Most, not least.

I think a better wording would be - 'no more than 10%'. If you go higher than that, then you are likely going to see problems in your civilian industry. As the most healthy and fit men are drafted into the army - with nobody to run the industry and produce arms.
